Why would that be the case if it is so bad?.

Because DCB's don't go in the ocean.

What about Skaters, Fountains, Outerlimits, MTI's... do they go in the Ocean?.

OK I surrender - all of you who don't like Havasu, well... don't go there.... more room for me and my friends.

Don't forget to clean the salt out of your engines, rigging, hair, etc.

I appreciate all the great responses to my questions from everyone...hope I didn't mess the theme of the thread up too bad. Even though I have open headers without mufflers my engines sound pretty smooth, mild and docile at idle speeds....it howls pretty good on plane though.

Augie, I'm from SW Michigan and was wondering about how many days/hours did it take you hauling your boat from WI to Havasu??? I am determined to bring my boat down there for a visit on a weekend that isn't too busy. Sounds like a pretty cool place. I would also like to do a run on the Delta up by San Francisco.

There are lots of places to run as fast as you can go on the lake. Keep in mind it is a relatively small body of water. THe simple point is that on any given weekend, nearly year round, lots of Guys and Gals with lots of very fast boats are there, and the Holiday Weekends are, well, unique to say the least. I have been to many, many boating Hot spots, Havasu is right at t the top of the list, not every element is there, like not a lot of Bars or Resturants on the lake, but the town is great and overall, the people are great.

I think the fact that so many people from Southern Calif boat there says a lot, they can run out of Long Beach, Dana Point, Huntington, etc. yet they tow to Havasu instead.

Would like to run there one day, but threads like this and others, don't help your cause. Don't see any threads going around talking about A-holes at LOTO.

And I agree D. Scott and Bud Select run like a business yes, but those boats call this lake home. On any given weekend we get the pleasure of Bud Select flying by at 150+, or tying up in our party cove...

nothing wrong with havasu. went there several years ago on our way back home from buying a boat in discovery bay. had a good time. the water is very clear. the bridge area is nice. copper canyon is nice. never went to the sandbar but im sure its a lot of fun. the loto/havasu debate has been a fun exchange of razzing on oso for many years. no reason that should change just because havasu actually does SUCK
