Haha, man im ready to get that thing back together just as bad as you! Im ready to get back out on the water! But i would have to agree with REMEDY, look at where the piston broke. Its right by that water passage. Ill have a look again tomorrow at those gaskets to look for signs of leakage. And yeah definately go back with mls gaskets. All of the gm LS engines use mls style gaskets and we rarely see blown head gaskets.

Definition of the word boat... "A big hole in the water that you pour money into" or "Bring On Another Thousand" If it makes you feel any better I had to dump $3800 in to mine last year, Drive couplers, Shift Cables, plugs, impellers, Drive Oil, and labbed the props... only thing I had any choice on the the props. But you have a nice looking boat and once you get past the issues you will have a lot fun with it.

Hang in there!

I paid alot more for my new boat and have dumped over $2000 into it and had it out 3 times. Any suggestions Sir?
Just busting your balls dude.

Yes you can replace 1 piston. If the rest are good thats what i would do. Just hone all 8 cylinders as I said and don't worry about getting every last mark out. It should only take a thousandth or two. This is to straighten out the cylinders and ensure good ring seating during break in. And it needs to be done in a sunnen or compare able hone with a torque plate. New rings and reassemble. Its hard to see water leakage from the head gasket. Its just a drop at a time while its running and the steam from it melts the corner of the piston off til its thin enough to break. Any good machine shop can fix u up on a deck and hone job. All the blue engines since 05 use Cometic MLS head gaskets.
