You are ahead of yourself. You posted you saw a possible fuel stain earlier. Go with that. Run the thing on the hose and open your eyes.

Just remember 3 PSI means per square inch. That also means pump only 3 lbs of pressure in to the tank and see if it holds with something like a radiator pressure tester from AutoZone or where ever. NOT an air hose with a compressor.

If you really are unsure would you please get a surveyor or somebody with the experience to do it? Otherwise this thread will have a really bad ending, ok?

Kinda like the lumbar support in my truck?

You get a short driver, simply pressurize the tank!

Mine was a leak of the tank. Top of the starboard side crease. No way to have found it until they cut her out. She is all back together and testing this weekend.

Only when it was full did I realize. It also only leaked a tiny bit but that's all it takes to go "boom".

Like pat said, if you saw a stain and was dried up after shutting the engine off chances are its just a dried up hose or something. Fuel tank would continuously leak and the stain would be running back from the forward bulkhead.

We are gonna check everything around the stain in the next couple of days . GMCHEVYTECH lifted it up in his shop earlier and had it tilted back . no gas ran out , so probably not the tank .

I appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions , and Im sure they will help us find the problem .

If it were the tank you would know it by now. (As long as the tank is topped off)?!?!?!

You would know by the smell in a heartbeat.

check the seal around the fuel sender....

Drock,,to give you a idea about how much 20lb of pressure is,,,the radiator cap on your car can only handle 12-15 lbs of pressure...
