H20...what are you waiting on? Are you so dam anal that this whole thing comes down to some cushion or what? If you like certain things about the Formula, but they don't offer all the good stuff, and Thunder is a custom manufacturer, can't you get the BEST of both worlds with Active Thunder?

H20 ,
I also own a 37 AVH Active Thunder and could not be happier with it.. Last winter my wife decieded she wanted to start sleeping out on a boat then she wanted AC and a generator and a big bed so we would be comfortable.. At this point I owned three SKATERS , so I am very picky when it goes to boats... I always have to have the best and luckily we are at a place in our lifes where we could afford to buy the best regardless of price.. So I did alot of shopping and talking to people and ended up with a 37 AVH with all the above options plus some. It was the best deciesion I could have made . The boat handles better than anything in its class or 5 foot longer and is put together well. I use this boat alot more than any of my others ..
Also the "after sale" service from both Pat and Steve is great .. Which is very important , alot of companies will talk about it but few will deliver.....
I used my boat alot this past summer and entered probabaly 10 poker runs with it , you would not beleive the performance and handling of this boat .. It is truly the Skater of Vee bottoms.......
If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me :: [email protected]
I have nothing to do with the company , I am just happy they make such a nice boat and they stand behind their boats....

Mark,
I know you totally decked your boat out with the generator etc. and I think you also have the 500 efi's. What top speeds are you getting out of it. I know Steve said you loaded it to the gills and I have seen pictures of it and it looked sweet.
Thanks

come on Kevin, do not be so damn hard on yourself. It is a big decesion that I found only gets harder and more confusing the longer you think about it. Remember, I went through the same thing, looking at the same boats so did Jassman.

H20, I am not currently in the market for a new boat, but have done a great deal of research on all of the boats you've looked at. I have also owned several Formula's prior to my current boat and have been in one of the new 382 FasTech F2 raceboats. If you would like to talk about the boats in question, I would be happy to discuss any aspect of either machine. I can be reached tomorrow at 212-828-6504. Pat values my input from time-to-time and I have brainstomred some ideas with JASSMAN and Thunderdan.
In any event, I know you'll make the right decision for you and your family...or you'll decided you didn't buy the right thing the first time and get it right down the road.
P.S. The glue is calles PLEXUS and there is nothing inherently wrong with using PLEXUS. Hustler bonds its cockpits to the stringers with PLEXUS and several boat companies use PLEXUS in addition to binding the hull and deck completely with fiberglass. The issue is that some companies only use PLEXUS to bind the hull and deck which, while the bond is strong at the molecular level, flexing is more prevalent at the hull/deck joint than in boats that are fiberglassed together.

Man are you smart Paul. I knew I liked you for a reason other than the amo to bust steve's balls.
Does formula bond their hulls in addition to the plexus?
