Excellent analysis that answers my question. I personally don't care for the 54 wind fairing. The original was much more attractive, IMHO. However, the owner is extremely tall and needed it raised.
I hope someone takes the opportunity to re-rig the 54. They will then have the opportunity to redo the wind fairing, bustle, and engine hatch. Thanks, TC Of all the "new" modernized Apache's and Apache siblings I like Tsunami, the 42' Chief now being offered by Banana (7-10 mph faster with same power than a regular 41') and the Saber. I'm also looking forward to seeing the new Pantera from that CNC mold. |
Is that a sunsation?

I believe Cold War has somewhat of a Military demeanor rather than industrial. Even the name evokes that premise. I certainly would love to see it completed & in my driveway. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Did I mention I was half Russian? LOL!

Does anyone wonder what if Saccenti and McManus HAD gotten along and used their talnts in a combined effort what that outcome might have been? We will never know but it could only have helped the tribe! I have been facinated with Apache Powerboats since the first 36 came to my dealer in town. Then a trip to 188th and wham I was hooked. Would like to get a Saccenti 36 at some point in my life and just hate to see the brand not living up to its potential.

Cat, I believe that is a 42' Apache.
I would love to see some pic's of that engine room and hatch. Speeds easily exceed 100 mph with those engines. Then there is always that rough water capability that Apache is famous for. Surefooted safe turning characteristics are another Apache trait. Yeah......it's a great offshore powerboat! |
