Why not?? Lake Conroe is small and I have seen 4'S on that lake.
I boated on three lakes in Arkansas for most of my life (Ouachita, Hamilton & DeGray) and have boated on Lake Norman here in North Carolina since 1999 and have never seen anything even close to four feet except in the ocean. Pictures PLEASE |
Cheney gets very rough. There really is not anything around to block the wind.

Pictures PLEASE Just a few weeks ago we had a storm roll thru and sink a few jet ski's and lift pontoon boats off the lifts and slem them into the overheads. I was not there fro that but it was bad. |
Waves on a lake. Ever been to lake erie in buffalo 4-5' waves is a good day 7-8' then we think about going out. But 92 mph in a 29 in 4-5' that must have been a hell of a ride.[/

Surely it does not represent normal or common conditions you see on a lake while boating. Probably more wind damage then anything. |

The first time there the locals canceled two card stops from the poker run due to conditions. I saw three broken outdrives, one broken gimbal and a Cigarette delaminate and these were NOT four foot conditions. RHC here on the board can back that up. |

Yeah but that was a storm. Was anyone out boating in it?

No Sh!t, the USA Olympic sailing team trains there. It is the "best" lake in the USA for sailing & sailboarding/kite sailing training. It gets rough & the wind blows there 24-7. I've been out there on my old sea-doo in the traughs & not been able to see shore. PM tuner tech & ask him how big the water was. He was there. |
