Doc, Adam is putting a set on my boat now. They aren't as high dollar as yours, but I think they will get the job done. He's also doing some led's. That's your fault for posting the pics of yours. I'll let the wife know were to direct her anger for the money spent towards you.:drink:
Sorry but you'll be glad you spent the money. You got the right guy doing the LED's! If you have not seen those that dance to the music you better take a look before he is done. Those are a lot of fun. |

Bobby,
Adam did a lot of calculations and when all said and done we will be 1-11/16 inch higher overall at the prop shaft. The Baja transom is at a different angle than all other brands. I do not remember that angle off the top of my head. The IMCO boxes are really built for the other angle. They are a neutral box and the SCX lowers only come 2 inch shorter than stock. So the bottom line is while I did not raise the "X" by raising the engines I will end up approximately 1-11/16" higher at the prop shaft. The big question for the expert you are is "CG". You and I have talked about this a lot and you know that my 36 is a lot diffferent than the 33 in that I don't see a difference by just adding people to the back seat. Any predictions on what this setup will do? Doc IM heading to RUBY MI at 5am sat morn to get my heads maybe Ill see the Irishcatagory 5 |

Well lets see
One year in Jacksonville while on a run to St. Augustine Jason had to keep me out of jail. His famous words were "Keep your mouth shut and let me do the talking". Then the following year on the same run except returning to Jacksonville I had to stop and help keep the coast guard from taking Jason to jail and my famous words were "Keep your mouth shut and let Lori do the talking! I cannot talk about Savannah or Lake Hartwell as per our court order. Bucyrus here we come, this should be fun! |
I will be lucky if any of you guys let me know last time you guys wouldn't call for fear of what might happen

Just received an update from the "GREAT ONE", Mr. Adam Shook.
The boat project is moving forward very well. Here is a picture of the new Ocean's LED in the Transom. |

I am simply blown away by what Adam does and comes up with.
He keeps raising the bar every day. If you have any question as to his talent just look at Split Decision. What he did on my boat last year was simply cool. He delivers more than you expect. Well he has topped it all now. I'm sitting here almost speachless and for those that know me that doesn't happen too often. We have a problem with oversized holes in the oil pans which did not allow them to seal properly creating oil leaks between the block and pan. Adam and Mark figured out the problem and Adam came up with a solution. The solution was to build a rail system that the oil pan bolts go through first and snug the rail up to the pan and pull it tight against the block. Use new gaskets along with "Right Stuff" silicone sealer and all should be 100%. Adam has a nice machine shop but he was not satisfied with what he could produce. Even though this was at the bottom of the engine where no one would see it he wanted it to be perfect. He created a drawing and what he wanted and had them cut on a water jet. They are a work of art. I had no idea he was going to this kind of trouble but knowing him like I do I should not be surprised. This is simply amazing and very much appreciated. Adam ROCKS! These picturers are of the right and the left side rails. |

Update from Adam at Saccenti Marine
Oil Pans are back on and sealed very well with "Right Stuff" silicone and the custom rails he made. Here is the comment from Adam: Mark, This is how we fixed your oil leak issue. I do not think I'll ever install a Mark IV oil pan again without these rails. Check out the Allen ratchet in the second pic that is defying gravity! Take care. Adam |
Dock, you are kidding about the silicone, right?

Not Kidding ITW Devcon "Right Stuff" It's GREAT and currently being used and recommended by Mark Boos at Precision Marine. I just signed a contract yesterday to become a Master Stocking Distributor for ITW Devcon on their entire product group. |
I've used it myself on my rigs and it's great stuff excuse the pun..:lolhit:

Doc,
What did you and Adam talk about today? For some reason after he got off the phone with you he promoted Doug to "group leader" and I have to answer to him now. |

I just hope Adam doesnt stuff me under there with a flashlight to check clearance like the AERO we worked on! |

How do you like the new way we plan to mount the rear bench and sunpad?

Anyone have a guess what these custom brackets are for?
Hint: "They will be polished" |

Well this caused the guys a couple of headaches
Funny what a few beers and a good nights rest will do. They got up the next morning, called IMCO and were told to CUT IT OFF. Turnes out the drive shaft on the IMCO's is a little long to accomodate all applications. Nothing a sharp saw will not solve! |
