TWIN-SPINS 03-04-2010 01:33 PM

And delete your post.

I think i saw dock hoiday before mark did. (at the dealer anyway) We bought our boats at the same dealer at the same time. I remember I couldn't believe the sound of the hp 500 efi's at the time! I would love to own that boat but to me it would be like sleeping with my sister. (might be fun but is wrong at the same time). Honestly, mark and tommie have taught me everything I know about boating and their exit from the sport at this time crushes me. If i could afford to purchase the boat I would and probably give it to them as a indica of the friendship they have extended to me. from the first poker run I attended (savannah 02 or 03) to the latest (jacksonville 08) they have been and are wonderful ambassadors of our sport! As far as I am concerned, Dock holiday is my "sister boat". Additionally, Mark and Tommie will always have a seat on my boat even if Im not on it!

Irishtornado 03-04-2010 10:30 PM

I agree Matt sounds like someone that has a agenda for sure...

I couldn't agree more Jason. Mark has given more to the sport and the brand than anyone I know. He's attended numerous Poker Runs and events and always been proud of the Baja name. It's a sad day for sure, but he has definately left his mark in the performance boating world..

What saddens me more is that people that are keyboard cowboys have the balls to sit and badmouth someone that has done more for the sport than they can even think about doing and know nothing about the person that they are badmouthing. Damn shame and I will get off my soapbox now..

You have a ride on my boat anytime you want it Mark just say the word...It's a open invitation..Your a class act in my book and anyone that says anything less doesn't know you.

Dave,
for a yankee you sure know how to show some true southern hospitality. I could not agree more with your accessment of others on this board. I appreciate this site and most of our members. However, sometimes I feel like others "rush to judge" or even run their mouth about things in which they have no clue. I have met many friends on here and in person in which I hold high regard in our sport but none more than Mark and Tommie Terry. They and those like them (including yourself) are the reason so many of us are true to the brand. It's not just the "true v" logo but the "true friendship" logo that holds us tight.

Dave is not a real Yankee, he just plays one on TV.

I hear what you are saying Jason, I have been lucky enough to have joined Mark and Tommie on a few runs and have never had anything but a great experience. The trip to Jacksonville to this day is my favorite Poker Run experience and that was in large part due to Mark and Tommie showing us around and making us feel included.

These forums are just a way to introduce like minded boaters to each other. People take them way too serious at times. The real experience starts when we all actually get together at boating events and really get to know the person behind the screen. I am thankfull to have had those opportunities. Even as a boat whore.

Mark,
You guys are always welcome here in Austin! I am also one of the people that Mark introduced to Poker Runs and we were lucky enough to meet them at Jacksonville a few years ago. They have also stayed with us a couple of time during the Poker Run here in Austin. Two better people you will never meet. Baja and the boating community has certainly lost a couple of great people.
Come see us Mark and Tommie, our house is your house!

Agree with all, definitely a bad day in the Boating community, especially the Baja community.

Great people to the sport. I have learned more from talking to you on here, and reading what you have posted than anyone has ever shown me.

The boys from the North welcome you any time you and Tommie choose to venture this way!!! Plenty of boats, with plenty of open seats, hell plenty of open sticks and wheels too!!!

Agreed with other MSD, Delete or edit that post. Very uncalled for, very immature.

JRalston 03-06-2010 06:47 PM

Just got back from the Bucyrus trip and got a chance to see Dock Holiday with the new motors boxes and drives. It is amazing! I cant wait to go for a ride.

sonic69 03-06-2010 07:14 PM

That boat is definetly sick. I couldn't quit staring at his drives.

It really kills me to have to sell it and not get a chance to enjoy it after all this time but we must.

Please tell your friends and pass the word.

Thank you
Mark

That sucks, I know the feeling I think most of us have hit rough spots in our lives. I hope it all works out for you.

Peace,

Mark's 36 is an incredible rig. No doubt the nicest one out there. It has gotten the best of the best and is being worked on by some very talented people for sure !!!

Hopefully things will change quickly for the good and he will get to enjoy the labors of his love for his Baja.

Thanks Mark !!!!!!

Yeah, that was the year you were running the Sunsation. I think '07.

JasonSmith 03-07-2010 08:27 PM

Ok, time to put the brakes on here folks! Dock has been in the sell mode for over a year now. This is not new news by any means.
In life one thing is inevitable & that is change. Change is good! Change is necessary.
A boater never quits being a boater. They may take a break, but they never truly stay gone.
Mark will be just fine in whatever he has going on right now. We all need some R&R every once in a while.

Doc if you can get away at easter time we are
having another run the day before easter (Frt.
Myers Offshore Club ) in frt myers . Bring the
family and boat and join us. Its really a good time
nice boats, and alot of good people.
Normal runs are 50 mile run to a nice resturant
then to the beach and hank out. Lots of FUN !
Just maybe you will change your mind about
selling.

People leave jobs every day of the year. What is the big deal? By the way you and a bunch of others posted, it looks like I revealed some major secret here. Allied says it on the phone when you call, so they don't think its a secret. Is there something that I missed that someone isn't telling here?

jfm 03-09-2010 04:27 PM

You could have PM him instead of posting it. Believe it or not we all don't call Allied everyday.

Are you interested in buying the boat? PM me your FULL NAME and # and I'll get you in contact with him.

Why would I give you my personal info? Unless you own the boat, which I don't believe you do. I have his contact info direct from him, so I don't really need your help.

JFM, you call Allied (or any Company) when you know thats where the person involved works (worked) and youbelieve you can contact him there.

I have never seen so many people get so defensive about something so minor as a job change. Mark isn't even making it a secret on multiple other sites. So why are you? What am I missing?

jfm 03-09-2010 07:33 PM

No I send them a pm or email or post my email and say contact me or even ask, " Hey can someone get a hold of Doc for me?" I don't go on and say I tried to call you at work and they say you no longer work there. That is an A-hole move and it seems that I am not the only one that thinks it.

I guess it is because most people don't want their personal lives blasted all over the net. If they do, then they will normally post what is going on themselves which you will notice Mark has not done here so we respect his privacy.

A better post would have been to either ask if someone knows how to get a hold of him or send him a PM.

Dock Holiday 03-10-2010 12:20 PM

Hey guys I hope you are all doing very well.

Yes as most of you know I am no longer with Allied Bearings. Starting a new chapter in my life and looking forward to slowing down and smelling the roses a little.

Sometimes we work and work only to get stuff and find we have too much stuff to be able to enjoy it all and not enough time.

When I saw MSD's first post I sent him a PM with all my current contact information believing he was inquiring about the boat. I do not know MSD and have not heard anything back from him.

As most of you that are close to me know we have listed the boat several times over the last two years for sale. I just need to step back from the pressure and expense at this time and God willing someday we will get to enjoy it again. Finally it is finished and will give someone a lot of enjoyment.

Thanks for all the kind words and offers for rides. It is very much appreciated.

Great to see everyone in Bucyrus. Many thanks to Doug and Dean, Chris & Adam, Dave, Lane & Bev, and of course Greg & Dawn. Most importantly all of you that took time to come out, meet face to face and have a good time.

Send me a PM if you need any information regarding the boat.

Thanks
Doc

Irishtornado 03-10-2010 03:07 PM

Can totally respect your decision and sometimes wish I could do the same...

GettinKnotty 03-10-2010 03:19 PM

Hey Dock! We understand how life can get busy sometimes! We wish you and Tommie the best and you know you have a ride with us anytime. It was great to party with you in Bucyrus (even though I can't remember the trip back to the hotel or who drove us?????). After seeing the boat first hand, I only wish I had the money but whoever gets this boat will be one very lucky person! Words can not describe all the work you have done to this boat. The workmanship done by the guys in Bucyrus is second to none!

haulinvols 03-10-2010 03:19 PM

Ali and I wish you all the best Mark. Let me know if you are ever over my way and we can grab a bite to eat or something.

PURPLE HORNET 03-12-2010 12:19 AM

Holly crap Mark !!!

I would have never thought you would be selling Dock Holiday. Damn bro you put a stack of money in that water missile in the last 2 years. This economy is brutal now, it seems like as quick as it gives us stuff it turns around and takes it right back. I do agree we did not see eye to eye on other subjects but I always new you where a jam up honest guy and your word was strong as oak. Good luck Buddy in your search of a new destination in life and work.

Cheers :ernaehrung004:

Pictures don't even come close. You have to see it in person. They're are so many small things you can miss in the pictures. I could stare at it all day. Wait I think I did that last friday.

ME,

I only have (4) left, and can paint the inserts any color you need for $300.00 a wheel? When there gone, there gone! The vendor was not going to make any more of them. Let me know.
