So are they 2- or -3? That cav plate seems like it is pretty high but it might be the dark picture...

Dock,

Well I told you awhile back that Adam, Greg, Lane, & I was going to replace the Fountain style steering wheel with one like Lucky 7s, and Split D. while your boat is in town. I just could not wait any longer to show the improvement......It looks even better than in these photos!

PS. This was your birthday present from all of us.

Dave,

I'm laughing like crazy over this. Funny but I was just looking at the picture of the new helm today and wondering what the steering wheel actually looks like. I guess with old age come patience and I was doing fine and expecting to see it on the 5th at the Winter Blow Out. I'm laughing at you not being able to keep it a surprise!:lolhit::evilb:

I just had the wife to come in and look at it and she is all smiles. She says it adds a lot to the boat and she really thinks it looks sharp! What more can I say.

You guys are all right and that is very much appreciated by both of us even though it is my birthday present. Now I guess I'll have to get Adam a present since we share the same birthday!

Thanks guys

Doc

P.S. I will miss the Reggie special.

Dave,

Thanks again for cleaning up the VHS radio. When you told me you had a special compound that would turn it bright white I had no idea how good it would turn out.

That's the first time I have seen it since you put the handy work on it.

What is the name of that stuff again?

Thanks
Dock

Ed,

Glad you are as pleased with their work as I am. It's really nice to have a one stop shop like they have up there now.

Interior, rigging, detailing, fiberglass work, custom paint, LED's, stereo systems, you name it and they can handle it.

We'll see you in 10 days.

Take care
Doc

P.S. When you were talking about the 20 lbs of crap I thought you were referring to Greg!:lolhit:

I stopped by today to see the finished product. I'll admit even I was amazed to know those were made in house. You will have people asking what website or catalog you bought those from, no joke! I had my camera to get you some real detailed shots of the finished product but he said he sent you some already.

Rooster,

Adam Shook was working with XT last year when all the LED's were installed and yes he did that work for XT. Adam is fantastic with both lighting and stereo equipment. He now runs his own business out of the back of Checkmate as Sacentti Marine. He installed the large Ocean's LED on the transom recently also.

Doc

ROOSTER 22 02-25-2010 09:25 AM

Doc,
Thanks for the reply. Going to look at a 36 outlaw tomorrow at Port Clinton and i didn't think that either place was very far from there.

Rooster just get on route 2 and head towards sandusky then take route 4 south and it will take you right to bucyrus checkmate / saccenti is just north of town about 1 mile on the east / left side of the road should take you 1/2 hour maybe 45 minutes to get there from the lake

XT-Innovator 02-25-2010 09:49 AM

We are only 55 minutes south of Port Clinton straight down Rt 4 from Sandusky OH.

Come view the boat next Friday and get a tour of Checkmate Marine and many of the good people that made-up Baja Marine in Ohio. Is the 36 with a dealer in PC?

XT

ROOSTER 22 02-25-2010 11:25 AM

Yes, it is with a dealer. Marine Tech Concepts. 2006 with blue hull. You know anything about the boat. I would like to come next friday, but i don't think i can get away then. This weekend might be my only chance.

I don't know that much about the boat, but Kevin Brown of Lakeway Boat Repair did some work on it under warranty, I believe? It was one of the last 36ol's ever built and is a good looking boat with the midnight blue, and yellow gel.

I did display with the owner of MTC (Jeff Wilson) in Cleveland OH. last month, and did see a flier on the boat in the booth. Good luck with it, and I hope it is everything you are looking for.

XT

ROOSTER 22 02-28-2010 11:32 AM

XT,
Thanks for the info. We did get to see the boat on friday and it is a very nice looking boat. Drove thru your town on the way home on friday and the weather was so bad we didn't stop. Would like to make it back over there this weekend for the open house.

Rooster,

You will be more than welcome to visit with us this Friday afternoon at Checkmate Marine in Bucyrus. Before you bid on JUST any 36 Outlaw, you need to look at probably the finest 36ol that is out there, and I think Doc has priced it way too cheap! Anyway the longer that you stay friday night and the more beer (truth serum) is served, the more you will learn about the Baja brand, and it's true history.

Guys it has been like an addiction or sickness. I don't know how to explain it but at this time we are going to step back from boating and focus on family.

It really kills me to have to sell it and not get a chance to enjoy it after all this time but we must.

Please tell your friends and pass the word.

Thank you

You will always have a seat in our boat though.

Would love to come over, but i don't know if i can make it. Would love to have Dock's boat, but like i told him in another message i don't think in need the big motors. I am currently on my 3rd Baja so i am a loyal Baja owner. I am not sure that there is anything out there that i would choose over a Baja for our tastes and what we use it for.

I know of 2 500EFI's that I would swap you and then you wouldnt have to worry about the power. We may have to swap drives too but that is no biggie
