Sorry missed your call. So shooting for the 4th... What's the word on the motor?
Anyways.
No new props yet. Working on a windlass now, so the props got moved down the wish list.

well the motor is good so far i have pulled all the caps. the only bad i see is slight grove on one of the main cap bearing but the crank looks great. I left my harmonic balancer puller at work so i did not get to pull the crank out over the weekend. I plan on doing so to night and i have to check the wrist pins on the rods which is where i hope my problem is.
so what did you have left over? Also did you have the rods that conect the trim cylinders to the drives? I did not get them when I was up there.

My buddy had a knock in his motor also that turned out to be a wrist pin. All is good now.
Pretty much all that's left are both complete transom assemblies, minus trim pumps. Tore 1 assembly apart before I decided to just buy new ones. Also have 2 complete sets of zinc anodes that never seen water. The new drives and transom units come from Merc with zinc anodes for use in both fresh and salt water as I understand it. I replaced all those with magnesium ones made for fresh water only.
I have the trim rods, but they are a bit longer than stock for use with the tie bar. It needs 1 end replaced though as the bearing/ pivot is bad.
Not ness. items of value, just items that were replaced/removed:
A big azz 18# Hooker anchor, deck stantion to tie the rope off of, and the deck fitting/cover for the rope to pass thru. 4 large white fenders. Not the best, but worked. 1 or 2 didn't hold air at full pressure, but didn't leak all out either. Swim platform ladder
I had just planned to pull the few saleable stuff off the assemblies and toss what I don't want. I don't need nor want any of this stuff sitting around, but probably won't get around to it till fall.

well got the rotating assembly together tonight. all my wrist pins were good the only thing we really found was bad bearings. it looks like they never changed the oil in the motor. the fly wheel was missing teeth so i got a new one. i also have to go get valve cover gaskets and a water pump tomorrow.
as far as what you got left i deff would be interested in some of it.

I'm reviving this thread Jerry, even though I'll see you this weekend lol. I figured i could get a couple questions in myself in case I forget to ask you in person. First thing I did to mine was reverse the bathroom door frame so that the door now opens out instead of in, dunno if yours is like that or not but it was crazy having a door open in on such a small space. My next task is your waste tank overhaul (moving, getting rid of loop, installing inline filter) and my question was where did you get the inline filter? I seem to be striking out on finding one.

Bubba - I'll get some pics up here soon. We've actually hung out with Jerry all summer on the dock. We even had 3 290's tied-up with each other this weekend at the lake, it was pretty cool. My 1993, our friend Donny's 1994 and Jerry's 1995 all in a row lol. And yes Jerry has done one helluva job on his, it's a beautiful boat

Thanks Brian, just a little buffing.
Isn't this how all cruiser bilges should look? Made new pump brackets out of S/S for mounting on the transom.
