Is it worth it it put a $2500 exhaust on for 2-3mph??

I put a hydro labbed 23 4-blade on mine and got 64mph with two people and 3/4 tank.

Hm, was the original 59 mph engine a 375hp 496? The 26 will run about 65-66+ gps with a labbed 23" Mirage+ and 496 HO motor, 1,50 ratio.

Nice looking ride.

I will have to lean toward AO on this subject. I have seen 67 GPS from the #2 26ol that went to Powerboat Magazine test.

Correct answer!

It is a Mercury required dimension from the water line to the top of the riser. Had to do testing on the water with average load of passengers, and move them around in the boat in different placements. I think the dimension was 15" minimum measured with a level and tape measures. What a pain that was.

Here is another test number.

66.2 mph gps @ 5120 rpm. 2 ppl, ½ fuel, 83 dgrs. 23" M+ lab.

Don't think the B1 prop is the right prop for that boat at all - at least not in stock form. But I've said that before, nothing new.
