I have a 29 Outlaw and I can usually stay out of the wind. There is a lip at the top of the windscreen that directs it up. Helps that I'm short though, 5'6".

We love our 29, great all around boat. IMO the windshield if you are looking for any sort of protection I would go that route because it does offer more protection from the wind etc (but I'm also only 5'8" on a good day lol) and if you are looking for amenities for the fam, overnight staying etc. the 302's have optional air and gally pack in them vs. the Outlaws that are more bare bones....

You couldn't go wrong with either boat... Stick with the MAG's or HO's (if you can find HO's)... Our 29 with HO's is for sale but not advertised, more word of mouth but it is listed on bajaboatowners.com

Good luck with your search!
