Got some better numbers yesterday.

Full load (fuel and 2 people) with trim, I'm hitting 5200 on the nose with a top speed of 71.2 GPS.

Light load (fuel and 1 POB), I can hit the rev limiters around 55 - 5600. Speed 72.8.

Both runs in moderate chop, cool temp and low humidity.

Guess labbed 28 B1s may be the way to go. I'm hopping this will bring me up into the high 70s.

Anybody got any idea what the 28s may do to the hole shot?

Right now, with the 24s, its great.

A couple of years ago, Hot Boat magazine tested a boat just like yours. It was even purple and mulberry. I seem to remember them getting 77.8mph with 28's. I will have to find that article and check.

I'm pretty sure 29 mirage plus should put you at about 78-79 mph at around 5100, We tested gamemans boat and ran 77.2 at 5350 with 27's next we will try 29's and then bravo 28's, does anyone in the area have these props for testing

How's the hole shot and overall handling with the Mirages? Any blowout?

Blows out pretty bad, but he put 28 bravos on this weekend and lost only 1 mph send GAMEMAN a pm or e-mail and he can give you specifics

I LOST 1 MPH AND ABOUT 400 RPM BUT AFTER RUNNING THE 27P MIRAGE ALL WEEKEND WITH 3/4 TANK OF GAS AND 500LBS OF PASSENGERS PROPS DO NOT WORK WELL EVEN BLEW THEM OUT AFTER I WAS ON PLANE REALLY HAD TO BABY IT FOR SURE YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO RUN A 4 BLADE BOAT IS JUST TO HEAVY FOR 3 BLADES EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE FASTER HOLE SHOT ON THE 28P BRAVOS WAS GREAT AND WORTH THE LOSS IN SPEED I ALSO CALLED MERCURY RACING AND TALK TO THEIR HEAD PROP GUY PROMISED ME IF I LET THEM LAB MY PROPS I WOULD GAIN BETWEEN 300 AND 450 RPM AND GAIN 2 TO 3 MPH COST $320 I BORROWED MY 28P SO I AM GOING TO BUY NEW LABS FROM MERCURY SO I WILL HAVE BOTH SETS TO TEST AND WILL REPLY BACK ON THE RESULTS SHOULD KNOW NEXT WEEK PROVIDED MERCURY HAS PROPS IN STOCK

I'm getting a set of 28 B1s tomorrow and will try them out this weekend as well. If they work OK, I'll get them labbed.

Hopefully, the hole shot will be OK. Its great with the 24s.

THE 28P SHOULD BE THE RIGHT PROP WITHOUT ANY OTHER MODIFICATIONS HOLE SHOT SHOULD BE GOOD LET ME KNOW ABOUT HOW MANY RPM YOU ARE TURNING PROBABLY AROUND 48 TO 4900 IF SO HAVE THEM LABBED BY MERCURY AND ONLY MERCURY THEY WORK WILL RAISE RPM BY ABOUT 300 TO 400 RPM WHICH WILL PUT YOU RIGHT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE AND SHOULD ADD 1 OR 2 MPH
