I am going to see a 96' poker run 302 (has hp 500's but no head and teal/pink w/ mcleod bolsters) Really just want to see the cockpit space.

How would a 302 run with hp500 carbs? couldn't find any threads about it? speeds/issues?

Also, i have read that they need top end refresh.. but what is that? just heads rebuilt?
302 is not much lighter then the next step i bet..... same big blocks, and drives, just a little more lenght.... the 302 has full windshield too.. so an 33 outlaw maybe closer on wwight then you think
500s need valve springs and stuff around 300 hour mark. depending on how they are ran... but should run pretty good.

fuel bills is going to suck with 2 500 carbs....

yes.. fuel would suck... too much mainetnance for me.. need something reliable and don't have to pull out! Never did like pulling out

Also, the trailer is MAXED! 4k per axle! 302 is 6800lbs dry.. plus fuel, gear and trailer! 8k, is just boat, fuel and gear!

33 ol is 7500lb dry.. yeah, they are pretty close, but I think fuel (35+ gal) would be 1000 lbs more than 302 fully fueled..

I did like the space in the 302... First time I had seen a 302 in person.. pretty massive.. another 3ft with 33 wouldnt be that much, but truck would be maxed out already

your truck is not going to like a 302, or a 33 haha.

this is my 342 EMPTY on fuel and gear oly owned it for about 6 hours at the time.... behind my lifted 2500HD, and 35s its squatting a little here but fixed that later. but it will make a 1500 sit like a caddy in LA.....

also if you happen to be close to me, your are welcome to see the size of cock pit s 33/342 has.

haha NICE. but in reality your truck is probably 20% smaller then that pic. the top of the bow is above my tool box, but below the roof. haha here is a pic looking out my back window, at a redlight. with boat beside a full semi.
