The black piece you pulled out, is there a new one in the hose now? That's the tapered insert that screws into the water hose to seal it in place.

Yep there is and it looks brand new so I'm assuming they just didn't get all of the old one out

First layer of plasti-dip went on need a few more layers but pretty close to what the final product will look like

I'd use 3M Dual Lock to attach it. .

Getting closer to replacing this with a shin destroyer:

XR input shaft swapped out with the standard Bravo one: next week the entire assembly gets swapped with the old bravo one in the drive:

Close up of the lines connected.. You can see the old piston clears the new lines:

Dash all put back together.. mirror kinda looks odd but for $10 between the rim and the mirror it'll work for now.. better than a hole in my dash or a faded depth finder that doesn't work:

The little things the your hydraulic line modifications can be the hardest part of the project. Not exactly off the shelf pieces. And then you tell a shop it's for a boat and it's like your asking them to hide a kilo of cocaine for you. Glad to see you got that figured out.

The spot where the depth finder used to be, did you try a "have a nice day" smiley face sticker? I mean the yellow would match. Thought about one of those for mine where the tab indicator was.

No joke on reactions from the shop went to one place that does tractor/auto lines they referred me to a competitor as soon as he heard it was for a boat so I went there showed him pics and mock up and the guy said that it's to tight for braided lines but thought solid lines would work until he realized there was two different ends so he came up with the idea of crimping down one side but he went and talked to the owner and he said that he had never ran into this issue before but he thought that it might work to crimp one side down.. what did you do to cover where yours was? Also I'd be cool to see some pics from 4 Horsemen upload on your thread.

When i did the majority of the hydraulic lines I just went to my Parker guy and told him what I needed on what hose be he'd do it right there. I didn't have to mess with that cable actuator though. This year was a pain though because Parker stores no longer do auto or vehicle stuff for liability reasons so I was harder to find the one shop that would do it right.

I'll try and get pics up. New format just makes it such a pain

Little off topic but I saw this on Ebay the other day thought it'd be a nice upgrade from Phil'R Up in the future (at least 5 years).

Weekly Update for those of you guys following the upgrade.. Still waiting for the shop to get the new drive shaft installed.
Hoping early next week to get it then put it on actually start the motor then bleed the trim and steering lines and hopefully everything works and is hooked up correctly.
Also yesterday was 2 years since I started this thread almost 35,000 views.. Pretty crazy hope it's given you guys some good ideas and helped some of ya.. I know you guys have given me some good ideas and help..
As with most boat projects it takes 2x as long as you think it should and an extra G and puts you in a spot you were trying to avoid which in my case I may be picking up the outdrive on my way to Okoboji then I have to install it, bleeding the lines, and test running the boat for the fist time 5 hrs from home.. not ideal.
So if any of you guys on here are from Okoboji or going to be boating there over the 4th and wanna see the boat or provide an extra hand just hit me up.
Pic from when I was there 2 years ago:

We are going down next Friday the 30th and coming home on the 5th
