Okay, I took my measurement on the port drive, on the lower left side of the transom assembly straight down to the bottom of the hull.

6 Inches

mine is 6 also i thought they raised the x in 2001?if mine is the
same as you have thats why the imco shorties don't work my
x is high already. thanks!!!!!!!!!

i must be slow, i dont understand where you are measuring? i think i measured 7 inches. 1999 36, cant find a pic and did not take camera with me.

measure under the transom follow the out drive (trim) lines
to the back of the drive and look under (back)of the drive were they connect but don't measure there right above thats
were the transom bolts to the hull!!!!!!!
