I just checked out Tricks website, you can not put anything in your "cart" so maybe Fred has stopped accepting new online orders..... A message appears saying:
"This Product Can't Be Purchased Online - Call us For Details"
Maybe someone should call and get the details!!!!

Part of me hates to even post on this thread, but the references and comparisons of Fred to Big Scotty are just out of line.
Big Scotty showed up out of nowhere boasting about all kinds of things (Superbowl rings comes to mind...).
And, BS had only one thing on his agenda. The guy didn't even know anything about boats, and we later found out he'd already done the same thing on a motorcycle board.
Fred is not guilty of this.
Having a business that has failed, yeah, I guess he's guilty of that.
Like CigDaze, I also waved a flag for Fred, just because I've known him through here for many years, and I genuinely think he is a good guy. He may not be the best businessman, and I hope he makes good on all the unfilled orders.
I'm also very disappointed in his silence in all of this. His silence is making me think less of him. And I hate to do that.

.
Come on man. We have customers who were sold a bill of goods. Charged money for said bill of goods and never received said goods. They were lied to, sometimes repeatedly about said goods, deliveries of said goods and refunds for failure to deliver said goods.

We have seen evidence posted about Fred buying goods from suppliers. Suppliers delivered said goods. Purchaser FAILED to pay for said delivered goods and then stopped doing business with said suppliers to avoid paying for said goods. Suppliers of said goods are now suing purchaser in a court of law to get payment.

That is not a "failed business". That is THEFT of goods and monies.

So yes, Fred IS GUILTY of doing exactly what BS did only on a much larger scale. He STOLE MONEY from members and suppliers. Stop trying to sugar coat what has become plain to see.

As I stated previously, Fred might not have started out aiming to be a liar and thief but it is what he has become. Liar and Thief? Sounds like Big Scotty to me.

Well, I know CMI is quite capable of F'N up even the simplest of tasks such as making tailpipes for a set of E-Tops on a 303 Formula. Their second attempt wasn't right either but close enough to make it work.

Oh come on Airpacker.
Comparing Fred to Big Scotty is a bit harsh.
You and I have talked before, and I'm as much about "the right thing being done" as you are.
Fred now needs to do the right thing. He still has that oppurtunity, and I certainly hope he takes it.
Big Scotty came on here with one intention only - to screw people. That was his goal, and he did pretty well in achieving it.
I don't think Fred ever had that intention, he does seem to have gotten himself in over his head though.
But, I still say, Fred needs to step in and speak up for this.
His customers deserve a full explanation, and a plan of resolution.

Sorry but to me, a duck is a duck, a spade is a spade and a thief is a thief.
If Fred has ceased all sales and stopped taking money when things started to go wrong, then maybe I would accept the excuses of a failed business. Since he descided to play the rob Peter to pay Paul routine, continued charging credit cards for product he knew he did not have and did not immediately refund those charges, that makes him a thief.
