Agreed, but the fact remains that although he may be saying he is stepping away,he still lied in the beginning and then through the whole process and now his "departure" is for the good of the sport...plain and simple? my ass. now is he thinking his actions are noble or heroic? Like David said, he could have ended this back in January.
Just the name alone is enough to make people laugh and associate it with the lies and thievery of Chris Sunkin. You've heard the story of "name is Mud" well that's from Samuel Mudd who was arrested after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln for setting John Wilkes Booths leg, he was later pardoned, but his name is still tied to it for eternity and history will never forget ( i learned that in school but later saw it in a movie, forget which one).....
Now the facts are that that site is tainted, it is now the town whore, looks like she found a fool to marry. So they better get used to people talking behind their backs and ridiculing them, that site will always be last in hi-performance boat sites. putting stickers on a boat doesn't make it anything, its the members. I hold no animosity towards any one person, but anything that has the sites name to it will never be supported by me. :)

CS ended this by blaming the four for all of the problems. Nobody has ever even hinted at an answer over the outside ownership question, the lying about expensive servers (just a web hosting site), the lies about super expensive software, etc... The so-called audit of funds so obviously never occurred.

So now CS has "transferred ownership" to a site who's domain is owned by an outside investor, and the site actually resides on a hosted server.

The people that brought this into the open are being blamed for the problem, nothing has been admitted, the questions about the charity money are left to die in the cosmos, and many CS supporters attribute the ending to Drama caused by the gang of four.

So they're supposed to be happy with this ending how?

I've stayed out of this since I don't have a dog in this race. However, I think I can answer Phragle's questions. And being in the medical field, Phragle will understand this comparison. It is known that most medical liability cases would never see the inside of a courtroom if the doctor simply admitted fault and apologized. Most families are not so interested in monetary compensation as they are emotional compensation that the doctor is sorry and remorseful.

In this case, the four very well might not be pleased until Chris comes right out and says the truth, admits fault and apologizes. . . maybe even asks forgiveness.

Again, I am not actually joining this dog race, just making an observation based on what the Core-Four likely want and how/why the accused is likely not to comply.

I do hope there is a re-unification of the masses so we can get back to our focus on boating.

In the end, what purpose does that site serve now that this site does not? I could somewhat see its need and purpose in the beginning until IB got its house in order managing OSO. But as someone posted earlier, this is such a small sport and community that it really doesn't justify needing multiple "home" websites. I think the advertisers would be better served if there was one main site to go to with their advertising dollars.

As to Phragle's question, the answer is "the truth".

I liked Serious but unfortunately it is going to be that Mexican restaurant in town with the salmonella outbreak.....once it happens the place never recovers simply because the clients won't return.

I liked Chris's posts and even complimented him a number of times both here and SOS on how they were always informative and well written. That being said I was shocked to read the allegations and the amount/size of the misrepresentations. It's not like the guy bragged about having a 382 Formula w/600's when he really only had a 353 with HO's, he tended to go for the gold with the tales!

Good luck Stecz, not sure you have free reign nor the time, expertise to run that thing but even the deck hand had a few minutes behind the wheel of the Titanic!
