I had good help this weekend. Eric , a 13 year old step son stripped my eng comp. by himself. I started a console frame so i would have the right measurements before pulled the rest of the floor out. I think it is going to work pretty well.

I would consider contacting Cigarette and asking them for a price on a new liner. As much damage as there is that would be the surest and easiet way of returning it to "original".

Post #53 shows you trying to frame another driver's console. Wouldn't it be easier to buy the complete fiberglass console from Cigarette. I had one of the four F-2 Top Gun race boats that crashed and bought it damaged. It went through a complete resto and Neill at Cigarette was very helpful in selling me the parts to bring it back to original. The driver's (and passenger's) console are one big fiberglass piece out of a mold. They just bolt in. Cigarette might work with you (price wise) if you explain that you're restoring this boat and doing the work yourself. It's certainly worth a call ...
