Please tell me the drives have been swapped at one point, and that there is no topgun that has ever left the factory with 330s, I could not handle that.

sweat equity will take ya a long way if ya really gotta have one and the "do-it-yourselfers" on this board will amaze you. I'm a sucker for a project and my thoughts are if you took a boat like this and had say 50 G's in by the time all the dust settled you'd be doing pretty good in term of whats out there in that range and at least you'd know what ya got. Purchasing a Gun in that range? I'm think'in you'd still be getting a project. I could see myself jumping on a TG like this if it was under ten easy. yea she's pretty humble

+ 1. All it took was a decent tarp and some hardware and it could have been a much easier sell. It literally took me 4 hours and $100 of material and kept it high and dry for 2+ years.

For someone looking to re-do/customize an old top gun this boat is priced in the ball park. If I were looking at it, the first thing I would wonder about is the transom good, stringers dry and the core dry. Steering, engines, interior, and drives all can easily be fixed or changed.
You took the words out of my mouth. I agree with everything he said.

It would look like a different boat after a couple hours of pressure washing, I used to love projects, old cars and still do. Dave has my 20 which looked worse than this when i found it in the weeds. I asked the guy if he wanted to sell it, he said yea and came back with a crazy number. I laughed and handed him my card and said call me when you really want to sell it. the next day the phone rang and he was down to earth. the difference is now, I don't have the time to do the work and I have the ability to sub 98% of it out. As Dave can attest I am very involved, but my hands on is limited. which should be ready in the next couple months, the anticipation of finishing is the best part.

There has to be someone in the area with 10k that can take a peak at the thing.

Might be an opportunity...
