Kinda crazy how long things take when you’re building from scratch. You run all the rigging you need think you close then have to go back and make it all perfect looking. Spent most of the day finalizing all the rigging on STB stringer

Don’t take it out! It will get dirty. Looks great

division1 06-10-2025 09:50 AM

lol I know I might finish it and just wash it weekly lol. Kidding aside hoping to use the crap out of it I’m not going to be worried about a scratch or mabye salt water just want to use it and enjoy it.

Had the same happen. Weld broke and the bottom portion slid right off. Luckily it happened during winter inspection.

Looking for suggestions on how to finish off inside. Trim rings are 5 inch looking for a tighter fit in the inside was thinking of having some real carbon fiber rings made. That is just a template I made up I think k carbon I’d good to like 350 degrees these should not exceed 150 thoughts

IGetWet 08-01-2025 06:36 AM

I like the carbon fiber idea. Or a powder coated your color choice AL ring would look cool. Like a big stringer washer.

thisistank 08-01-2025 09:52 AM

Carbon fiber rings would look bad ass. Are you not running any type of the rubber gromet that is usually used to keep water from leaking between the exhaust and the transom? Or you doing the rubber ring and then covering with the carbon fiber?

division1 08-01-2025 10:30 AM

So on the inside just the carbon ring on the outside side debating on carbon and the silicon rubber or having stainless made for the outside and then use the same style rubber
