You are doing a fantastic job . I have one observation. I was always under the impression that one should not use fiberglass mat with epoxy resin . I was told that the styrene in the polyester resin would break down the binding agent that holds the mat together and the epoxy resin would not .
Was I mistaken or are you matt compatible with epoxy resin ? RG.

From the research I have done west system epoxy is compatible with mat. It has the highest bonding qualities so for the bottom of the boat it’s a great choice. The small fractures I’m fixing are so thing I totally could have left but when we’re going this far why not ? We’re paint the front portion of the bottom not the back running surface due to it being blue printed and I don’t want to paint over all that. Trailer is 100 percent done and came out great. Boat is completely wrapped in awlgrip 545 whip epoxy primer and bottom os being painted Sunday. Let it sit for a week then back on trailer !
