Cafe Racer Refurb (Hull #69)

Tank:
The puck lights are here: https://thmarinesupplies.com/collect...31068635725867
Part Number is: RGBW - LED-32658
We had a fight getting them ordered because the sales department and the warehouse are in different states (Texas and Alabama IIRC) My customer became a dealer for TH Marine for me to order these and some underwater lights. He got me a GREAT price. Send me your info at [email protected] and I will send you what I paid through him.
2) I have had a few rum and cokes tonight, so i might be slow on the uptake, I'm not sure which part or pic you're referring to. Do you mean the pins that connect the Hatch support "shocks" to the deck and hatch? Please clarify if possible.
I have also been meaning to contact you. You've posted that you sometimes tow kids on a tube behind a Cafe IIRC. I need this ability so i can keep a promise to the GF. I have a tube, a "Power Booster" ski tow line, and another tow rope. Can you offer a recommendation for a bridle to connect to the Cafe? Also where do you connect? I have either the two rear cleats or the 2 pad eyes under the swim platform.
Any advice is welcome!

and it’s this pin I’m referring to. I believe it’s spring loaded. One of mine is missing. It’s the pins that secure the hatch to the deck and are the pivot point for opening.

This is the Y connection for the tow rope. I can’t remember why at the moment but it worked better to hook it to each side rear cleat. I think because it held the line up out of the water. Then I bought the longest tow line I could find and a 3 person inflatable tube and a re-chargeable automatic pump. Worked out great except I think I need the line a tad longer because I the prop wash sprayed the kids when we got going faster.
y connection:

Ill email you later today.
thanks again Christian!

Sorry for the late response. The pins on my hatches aren't spring loaded. IDK if they were once spring loaded, and to me it seems like there should be some kind of bushing on/in the hull where the pin inserts. It seems to me like they just sit in a hole in the fiberglass. My first call would be to Phil at Lip Ship. In the alternative, having one fabricated would work too.
I am searching for the latch for the cabin sliding door, the part that goes on the helm side. If i can find one to get a fab shop to copy it, that's my plan. no one knows where Cig sourced them. I also didn't get your email, shoot me another one when you can. If Phil doesn't have one, I can take one of my hinges and get a local fab shop to copy it if that's what it takes. Opening both hatches in the summer is a must if you want to use the cabin.

Chris - i was thinking, it might be just as easy to get a hydraulic shaft, a trim/tab pump and put new wheels on the door and convert it to electric. Would be a killer upgrade and I don’t think it would be that hard with the left console pulled off....
just a thought

that thought crossed my mind as a change i could make on mine, but i dont know what all is needed to build it from scratch.

I dont have a key for my cabin door and when I asked Phil if I could get a new lock and key for the door latch or even whole new door latch system he explained it was a perko product and it’s no longer made. Just FYI

honestly, I’m not sure it’s that hard. The pump in my tiger is just a trim ram pump. I think with the right size trim ram and it mounted on the inside of the door you’re done.

I love that idea. I've thought of linear actuators, I didn't think of a trim ram. I have to pull the port dash panel to replace some door rollers, so I'll probably get an idea if I can do that myself or get a pro, or leave as is.
I still haven't installed the Garmin yet, audio guy is fabbing up a dash pod to house it. He got it to about 90% and got sidelined with a kidney stone surgery, Yeah, I'm not bugging him.
My first thought is that if i could get the receiver fabricated, then I would remove the lock/switch and bring to a locksmith.
