Would be interesting to know if Cigarette had changed the layout after 1984 because your boat is from 1986 and does not show the same configuration like mine.

stringer layout Flatdeck 1984
I have no idea? That cross bracing has more triangulation which is definitely stronger!!!! Most I have seen don’t have that and have diamond plate laying between the stringers, which is what I will do.

I`m confused by your configuration too. Are the engine mounts going to be attached to that thin middle stringer? Why is it so thin and the others so much thicker?
Wouldn`t those other thick stringers hit your oil pans?
Why are the sides shorter now ?

My is an 1986 .

Exactly the way it was when I disassembled.

Ok call me crazy but to me something Doesn't look right the stringer next to the main one looks way to tall. And looking back the before photos it looks way shorter in those it really looks like it’s going to hit the oil pan may just be the way it’s taken though

Looking at again it looks like the outer stinger and inner stringer are swapped. Center looks good but it really looks like the other 2 are backwards on both sides

How you have it now is way too short to mount engine mounts .
The middle stringers need to be on the outside and the outsides belong in the middle .. no way is that clearing an oil pan .

All the stringers are exactly 2” higher than original, because we are raising the engine and drives 2” and using the same motor mounts lol. So yes they look higher, but nothing is going to hit.

TRS drives were notoriously low mounted and my motors are N/A so hatch clearance isn’t an issue, so raising them was an easy decision for me. It only gains minimal speed but I had to replace stringers and transom, so might as well get anything I can?

Judging by those 3/4" pvc drain holes I think you switched from inches to milimeters halfway thru this job but okay .
