This also leads me to believe the bottom is the same. If they built another bottom why would they not have centered the "crease"?

No, No ,No.... I sold my Gun a few months ago, I just got rid of the Virgin boat and replaced it with this new boat. Christ, if my wife reads that I have three boats she will be convinced that I am hiding them from her!!!
