Craig - Welcome to the board!

Please someone buy and restore it!
It's a BIG piece of Offshore History!
An historical step! The first cat to win a World Title.
After that the Offshore wasn't the same.
Will be there a lot of works because it's in very bad conditions and because it's a wodden boat.
But must do it!

It would be one of the Best piece of vintage!

We are working on 6 different designs and they will be pretty much the way the old boats and teams looked at the time.

The company is pricing them out and we are discussing the amounts to order....they will be available both online and at Key West this year.

#3 is the boat I have- and the boat that Betty Cook is sitting in in that particular picture.

Good news is the boat was substantially original and has never been butchered. The nose was repaired, and correctly done courtesy of Craig Archer. I have new fuel tanks, fresh 540 tall decks and the #3's have been refreshed by Speedmasters inc. The boat is sitting on the original trailer too. Some nights I stand behind the wheel and hear the sounds of distant thunder...

I am doing a very meticulous restoration - "I'm on a mission from God". I work on it during my spare time, although that has been scarce after hurricane Katrina. Ratman's boat is nearly identical from what I can see.

Hey Bulldog, I think we have talked in the past. Betty was my Aunt and if I ever make it your way, do you think you could take me for a ride in the KAAMA?? Thanks.

Shawn

Also, I just moved into a new house and I want to dedicate at least one room to Betty so if anyone has any old items pertaining to her, I would be very interested in buying them or copying them if possible. Any pics you want to send, I can give you me email too. Thanks so much.
