Superb Black Tornado!
Sabre Dance was bought by Arnold Glass in 1975 and run by him in the States for a few years before he bought the Bertram "Copper Kettle" from Sandy Satullo. And Snap Shot became Jumpin' Jack in 1974. Aeromarine III is being restored in Norway (or Sweden!). I think that is the boat which became "I Like it Too" . And didn't Guilio de Angelis acquire the first Black Tornado, also run as Eraf? But what end has done Sabre Dance after having been of Glass? Yes all the boats of De Angelis had the name Eraf that was the acronym of Elio-Roberto-Andrea-Fabiana that they were its children. 6 were the Eraf: 3 Cigs.36' - 1 Cig.35' - 1 Eria Marine 38' - 1 CUV 38' |

Black Tornado,
The boat behind "Slap Shot" in post 6 is "White Knight" this was Aronow's original #4 "Maltese Magnum". The Magnum is being restored. I just emailed the owner of the boat to tell him of the picture/thread.:) |
Just saw a 1972 36' on eBay for sale. nice looking hull w/inboards? I don't have the link, maybe Black Tornado should have a look!:drink:

That 36 with Inboards is a very good friend of mine , he owns Nuwave marine in Deptford NJ and is also the top selling Merc engine dist on east coast . The boat was built for local devloper back in the day a guy named Skip Levitt who built post WWII developments in NJ and PA and then was sold to an Attorney . The boat was one of one built for offshore fishing with straight inboards and at one time had 440 Mopar engines which back then were the engines to have . It now has new Awgrip paint , new fuel tanks and a stunning custom built trailer with three torsion axles and brakes on all 4 wheels . Could be converted to IO power if so desired . If interested call Ken @ 609-364-1479

Yes that's the boat ! Please forgive I rode the short bus :drink:

Any pics of the cockpit to see the layout, would it be crazy to put a bracket on the transom with a pair of 300 verados? Is this a Cig that should be restored to original factory specs. for historic value?
|
I think it would be cool , one of a kind for sure . I like that idea better than straight inboards . This is a smokin deal for someone

Dry Martini - Carlo Bonomi 1973 The third 36'-lightened- for Bonomi that made his debut at Viareggio. http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/806...ie7374c.th.jpg Rock A Bye - Steve Babin 1973? Then it became the Triple B. A new built boat or a former something? Those are the probably twentyfive 36' hulls built from 1970 and 1973 by the Cigarette. Several of them became then other named boats for the same drivers or others new owners. |
