I wonder how close in design my 29 Cary is to the Mirage. Mine measures 29'9". Is the Mirage exactly 29'?

Compare strake width at the transom between the Mirage and Cary.

So this tells us that the Mirage is most likely popped from a 28 Cig and the Cary is popped from a Magnum.
Cortez worked for Cigarette with Sonny and Bob at the time the 28 was built. They used a Magnum hull, added the second rub rail line and widened the strakes by a 1/2".
Makes sense,

Jeff
