Posted some more progress, finally got the motor dressed, dropped in and alignined. Completely rebuilt the transom assembly with new stainless pin and all new bushings etc. mounting drive and hydraulic steering are next!

Thumbs up to you and your resto project. As a former Pachanga owner and fan it is great to see these boats live on. Yours is one of the real rare ones, not many of them out there.

Outstanding work. Thanks for the history lesson as well. I only knew the Pachanga name as some later, larger, and WAY less aesthetically pleasing SR's. (I think they sold those later molds and they became the Envisions?) Can't wait to see this one finished up!

Finally finished the restoration. Ended up having motor rebuilt, merc 420 bored .30 over little bit bigger cam than stock 420 cam. Bravo one 1.50 with a 23 pitch mirage plus does 72 mph at 5000 rpm. Also installed some hydraulic steering and bennett 12” sport tabs. Fun boat
