Stainless, My apologies I wasn't even thinking of the 44 only the 36. I haven't looked that close at the 44 just to big for me, but looks very nice. The 36 has always looked good for what I would want at the right price. The NT 39 is out of my range now, but someday. The finish was much better than the Top Fish.

The only we ask from our customers whether they are repeats which we have had, old customers, former customers & new customers is that they pass by the factory to meet everyone and to see the factory for them selves and to see how we process the customer service. We don't hide from our problems like most companies do we resolve them in a timely matter possible. Stainless you & all new customers looking to purchase are welcome to come on in to do your homework on us at any time. Alot of people know me and alot of my customers have come back to me for a new purchase of a boat b/c I give them the service they need and if anyone would like to see that first hand please feel free to contact me at the factory or just come visit here or at the boat shows. You all have a wonderful holiday! Merry X-mas & Happy New Years to ALL!!!

Well taking this and a couple other "Concep_" threads into consideration, it appears as if 10-20 customers have crossed this mfg off their list when considering a new boat. And some big ones at that...

The power of OSO

We do address the issues with our customer and our management. Unfortunately this is a one time situation within a 25 year time frame that is being delt with in a professional way and its unfortunate that we can not speak about the situation. Second of all its not the tough guy bs its the truth and thats who I am I tell you the truth straight to your face if you like it great if you don't oh well. At the end of the day I don't know you and you don't know me. The only thing I know is that I treat all my customers with respect, I am blunt and straight forward with them and always solve all their issues and thats why they come back to me and purchase boats from me again and refer their friends to me. If you ever want to meet me feel free to drop by a show and I will treat you with respect, I would say goodmorning or good afternoon and say welcome to CONCEPT BOATS, shake your hand and will answer any questions you may have and say thank you for coming by thats who I am; But if come to visit me to just insult me and be disrespectful then don't bother because the only thing I will say to you will be thank you for coming buy and have a wonderful day. With that said I want to wish you and your family a wonderful X-mas and a Happy New year!

DollaBill 12-21-2010 06:39 PM

I'll take you up on that. I mean that in the most sincere way. I 'll see you at a boat show. I'm not being a wiseass in ANY way.

Have a happy hoilday.

You do have insurance suitable for the type of work your doing, correct?

Apparently they didn't have insurance, or this wouldn't still be going on.

The only reason this is in the hands of lawyers, is because Concept or the shipper or both had no insurance.

And to add insult to injury, they strip the guys boat.

Now, would you buy a boat from this company?

Centsless 12-24-2010 09:09 AM

is this thing resolved yet?????
i can understand why the owner of the boat didnt want to use his insurance........
i dont understand why the boat companies insurance doesnt want to pay........
and a partially gutted tub to boot.........lets get real here........

That is what everyone I've spoken with would like to know and understand. I believe there is a lawsuit ongoing about this accident and both party's are not allowed to speak about it.

wananewboat 12-28-2010 03:43 PM

Mike, Did you get a smaller boat?

An unhappy customer

The only thing that everyone on this thread seems to do is bash.... Like you said Stainless Take it for what it's worth... I will say this Concept is here right now going strong and selling boats unlike other manufactures, we stand behind our products and handle every customer accordinaly with their situations.

Whether anyone wants to believe that or not thats their opinion, but I will say this over and over everyone needs to stop the bashing because NO ONE on here knows the truth nor do they know the situation and if anyone here says they do then they are FULL OF :bsflag:

I normally just read threads like this for enjoyment and would never post, as it is none of my business and I have no dog in this race. I also own a business and sometimes have unhappy customers. It always is amusing to me that a customer that is mad at me was just getting ready to buy 20 of my main products from me and every relative and neighbor in a 100 mile radius of them were just getting ready to buy from me until I do something they feel has wronged them and then of course, all these orders are canceled. I wonder if they actually think a merchant believes this line. I am not customer of yours, am not considering buying a boat from you and most likely would never want a boat of the type you make. But I do wonder if you ever stopped to consider how much potential damage you can do to your company with responses like the one you posted above. The boating community is a relatively small one and word spreads fast. You do not have to give details you do not feel are warranted, but you could certainly temper your responses to minimize the damage. You should write a response and then let it sit for a least a few hours and go back and read it before posting. Words are powerful tools and when used in anger, can come back to haunt you. Just my two cents.

No, still have my 38TE Fountain. Would love a smaller boat but this is not the time to trade or sell a boat.

VtSteve 12-31-2010 09:51 PM

If you read post #3 and Post #4, it says pretty much all that has been said. It must be something to do with the letter C. Contender and Concept seem incapable of solving any customer relations problem without pi$$ing off the entire continent. Just like the other make that continues to whine, in spite of their many pi$$ed off customers, people to stay away from.

We have some people with boats broken from a company's trailer episode, some never getting a boat in spite of deposits paid, and some that simply have the problem of a boat falling apart and egotistical maniacs not wanting anyone to know about it.

Hint: This is a huge world, this Internet. When owner and operators of companies post things like I've read on this thread, I can sleep better not knowing them at all. I sleep real well knowing that I've pointed this out to others.

Did you guys ever hook up?

FullAuto9 03-30-2011 08:43 AM

This might be done with, some kind of settlement.

VtSteve 03-30-2011 08:57 AM

Not bad, not quite three years now. It's too bad, since the OP was quite complimentary of their boats, as most seem to be. Unreal how long it took, since this was explained as a transit incident, which should have been pretty easy to resolve.

Vyper340 05-30-2014 06:55 AM

Any conclusion to this???

...have been considering adding another boat to the stable and this story is of interest. Have always liked these since first seeing them in the early 2000's at the shows. Have friends with them and are happy but with a little porpoising issue. Wonder how the 3x Vrods do with porpoising but these are all,off topic issues. Another thread...

My 30 porpoises a bit even with 4 blade Bravos (better than the 3 Blade Mirage). Howver, once I run her up to about 40 MPH she lays flat. It doesn't like to run below 40 MPH.

Well I finally sold my 2006 Fountain 38TE. I'm back to looking for my next boat. I want to move down in size but to a center console boat that has a certain look to performance look. Concept nails that but I keep remembering how bad Concept treated my wife and I on our new 2003 36 we bought and then keep reading issues like this one and others....no thanks can't forget all those problems and what was said to us.

Mike, Active Thunder has been building some interesting new layouts. None would be considered a CC, but walk through to bow, as well as wrap around rear seating on outboard powered 29s and 33s; same exact hull as the performance boat. Let me know if you need any questions answered.

Funny, everyone associated with boat towing always mentions how much insurance they carry. Maybe in this mess it wasn't enough
