I'm a contractor. I get a job and have a subcontractor do the job. They mess it up. I don't say to my customer that it wasn't my fault, it was XYZ subcontractor that you've got an issue with.

Huh? your Concept and your friends Concept are wrecked? Who was doing the trailering? Concept with their own truck and trailer or a private company?

What is the latest with you Concept that fell off the trailer? Did you fill an insurance claim and get it either totalled or fixed?

There seems to be 2 sides to this story...you say Concept wrecked your boat and Concept says the tow company wrecked your boat.

Why is the world have you not turned this over to your insurance company or a lawyer?

All I know is Concept has wrecked their reputation this.......I wouldn't even consider buying one after reading this.

This sounds like a real unfortunate situation. However, I know Susan, Luis and the rest of the folks and Concept. I would be very surprised to find that they haven't done everything in their power to resolve this timely.

still no boat ,still paying concept says after 18 month that they can fix it
it will be to years on may 22
unreal, should have a court date soon

Just the fact the guy still doesn't have his boat yet he has been making payments on a wrecked boat tells me Concept definitely didn't do the right thing!

Yup...hope he has a awesome lawyer...I know one that he could get that would fry them.

This is very sad...for a coampy like Concept. I once owned a Concept but only kept it for 1 year.

WOW...what a complete nightmare. I have been considering a Concept for my next boat since I'm done with I/Os...this has altered my thinking for sure. BTW...who is your insurance carrier? Did Concept actually have insurance for delivering boats?

i have heard of very sad stories regarding insurance companies in the states , some that didnt pay out in the last of the hurricanes peoples lives being ruined......i am glad that there are serious rules for insurance companies in canada

Silence from Concept propagates suspicion. Two years and no boat or resolution is beyond comprehension. Not everyone on this site is wealthy, many work hard to meet their monthly obligations to enjoy this hobby. But to pay for two years of debt service along with storage contracts (at least for the first year) insurance et al. with nothing to show for it is preposterous. I'm sure there've been some details left out by the OP, his posts are not detailed and somewhat elusive, but puhleeze...2 years? I live in CT...how would I have confidence in Concept if they were shipping my boat from FL if they can't even settle on an insurance claim. There's a bunch of stuff that doesn't add up here and neither party are supplying the facts. But again...silence propagates suspicion.

I thought the customer posted this not Concept. Lots of Companys have problems, and some may be even this severe, however they may not be posted here or elsewhere because perhaps they are resolved in a timley manner. I only know what I have read here, and it seems 2 YEARS is a very long time, all the while being financially obligated. just my .02
What would do if the shoe was on the other foot??
I hope the owner gets to use his boat sooner than later.

keep in mind if lawyers are involved it would be wise for Concept to talk, I know they were silent from the beginning so that doesnt look good, I gotta believe there is two sides to this story, I can tell you I would be absolutely livid if It was my boat.

I wouldn't touch a concept after reading this thread.

Other companies may have similar problems, but they're still here aren't they? Let's go with one of you're choices, such as Nortech. Why are they still doing ridiculously good??? Because they rarely have problems and if they do.... they resolve them in an ETHICAL AND REASONABLE manner. Unlike yourselves.:mad:

Just meet robby today at smoking the sound OSS boat races! Realy nice guy said he had a consept and I made the remark about all this and consept. Never would have guessed it was this guy... Never said a word about it untill I did and couldn't go in detail for legal reasons but this a messed up for this guy he should get a new boat And comps for all this i will never buy one!

Going on VACATION the week of the 4th to Anna Maria Island....was going to ride over to the dealer/Erickson near Sarasota and look at the Concepts again......NEVERMIND!!!:bsflag:

Oh Yea....I also called Concept bout 6 months ago and ask to speak to somone about a new boat.....girl said everyone was busy and could someone call me back.....???....I said sure here my number......STILL WAITING ON THAT CALL BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered a 2009 36 Concept last year after meeting with Luis and seeing seeing several of the boats run around for years. I had everything custom done on the boat to the way I wanted it. Luis and the concept team has always taken care of me. I know several people with the boats and they all love them. I wouldn't let one bad story effect someone's judgement when it comes to buying a boat from them. I read this thread over the years and really question this whole thing. I am 100 percent happy with my boat. Just my two cents.
