Jon-I'd continue stripping the boat like you currently are. Then I'd pull as much hardware off as possible. The less masking you have to do the better the paint job will be. It will be alot easier to sand through an opening than trying to detail around it. You will reduce your masking time, and the paint will be easier to apply because you won't have to angle the gun to spray around a object.

BTW-what are you going to do with the trailer? I've seen alot of boats that are beautifully painted sitting on a ugly trailer. Trust me, after getting the boat to look all pretty, the trailer will look even worse.

Jon, Looks like your doing a great job so far. I remember wet sanding the sides of my Formula which had blue lettering on the sides and then the blue turned to RED it was my fingers bleeding.
Keep up the good work.

Mr. Cig. I already have your boat up as a screen saver on my shop computer
Kaamacat: Those are the Teague Tips with the electric actuators. VERY NICE. I LOVE THEM. So far they have exceeded my expectations.
Cord Everything is coming off but the drives and tabs. THat is way to much work. I am still looking at the possibility of closing off the windows but I highly doubt it.

Audio...........Know what I just thought of (no Bob what)......you need to hang a webcam outside the shop with a link to OSO so we can watch the "live" progress.
Oh yea..........The original pics of the boat are very nice. I've always liked the "traditional" Formula graphics. Would be interesting to see what it would look like, with the same overall pattern scheme, but with an "updated twist"......Like you know its still a Formula by pattern, up "new".........
...........now.............onto your local PC store.....................

Audio, nice job man and fun to watch the progress. I loathe people who have your sort of talent because I wouldn't know where to start much less complete such a project
Keep the pics coming.
Keep the pics coming.

Hey Cignificant, just got off your site. That's quite the project you're doing there. I never realized you were going to that extreme. Good luck and I can't to see it complete...
