When I painted my boat I really updated the lookes of it by stripping everything I didn't need including the bow rails, filling the holes and filling the windsheild with aluminum panels instead of glass. I get lots of compliments. If I were you I would fill the side windows, Blueman is right it wouldn't be very difficult, and cut down the windsheild to about half its height and make it a painted faring.

Still the second day and I sanded off the starbord side. This part of the job SUCKS!!!!!

Default One Side down ONE to go

One side down and one to go. My arms hurt and my compressor is NOT happy. It has been a project to get it hear but two afternoons to get to this point I am doing better then I thought I would.

You can see the original paint scheeme on the boat. Red middle with Brown top and white bottom. WHAT DO DO WHAT TO DO for paint job???? Boilerdady on the board is looking for some pictures for me so I hope to have them so that I can decide if I want to go back to stock red sides with a different top color or not.

Jon I had a friend that had a all black 302 sr-1 it looked great with the shorty windshield. Fill the porholes. Forrest
I know then you would have to do the interior

A friend of mine had one painted just like that. I will see if I can find a picture of it and I will post it.

Jon,I had an 86 272 black sides with yellow stripes,low cut windshield ,looked sweet.I'll try to scan a pic and send it to ya.
