Candyman that would be great. The more that I see the better ideas I will have.

The last weekend I worked on the boat non stop tell I ran out of paper Anyhow. My bro has the windows SUPER flat. I can not believe how nice they came out. I was so worried about it when I started. They did set me WAY behind in the time frame as I waited for the glasser to do it then finally just decided to do it myself. Then I had to grind and sand and fill and so on. Well I thought as soon as I was done with the window I was going to be ready for paint. WELL I was sooooooo wrong. My bro walked me around the boat and pointed out about a million spots that I had missed. I was feeling REALLY dejected as I thought I was so close. Well after about 2 min of feeling sorry for myself I got right back to it and started to fill the stuff in. I skimmed the WHOLE bottom of the boat and sanded the whole thing back down. My boats bottom is PERFECTLY strait now. I have probalby the ONLY blueprinted Formula 302 in existence now I will pick up sand paper tomarrow and sand down all the filling that I did before I left this evening and then just some more work to do on the transom. So the new targets are to finish up the bottom tomarrow and the transome on Tuesday. Tape it off on Wed and Prime on Thursday. Then I have to let it sit for a couple days then as soon as I get money I order up the paint and let it rip. I will try and get pictures soon. Ken240 and Zoom3 stopped in this weekend and checked it out and gave me some help sanding for a bit. They took some pictures. I let my digital camera to my mom so I will have to waite for her to get home on Wed. to get any myself.

Looks like this was optomistic!

Can anybody tell me how long it took Michelangelo to paint the Sisteen Chapel?

Seriously, what did you use to fill in the bottom of the boat? I'm thinking of doing the same to mine.

I used a 3M fiberglass bondo with Short hair in it. I tested a couple spots and beat it and what not to make sure it was not going to flake off when I was done. It was plenty strong and when I was done sanding actually there was very little left. Only filled in a couple spots. SO I guess the bottom was very good to begin with. I would check your boats bottom very well before going through all this work as it was a BIG job that I would not wish on anyone.

Looks great Jon, I enjoy seeing the progress on the boat...reminds me of the old days...I wish I would ahve taken more pics.

It is killing me not to have the camera!!!! I will have it back in two days. Anyhow today I worked my butt off and I got the bottom almost done. Couple misses and it will be all set. The transom is also almost there. I think that tomarrow I will be able to totally finish up. The next couple days are sapposed to be PERFECT for painting. So the primer will fly

Well I think that I am about there!!!! It is 1:30 and I just rolled in from working on the boat. I think that it is finally ready for prime. I am sure that there are going to be one or two small things that maybe I missed while trying to work under the lights, but it is looking and feeling real good
