I raised the motors up another 4" and put bigger blowers with chillers, the total height of the blowers from the china wall on the block to the top of the flame arresters is 23". I want to say I measured out that I need 3 " over flush minimum

Jamie, I started with a 1x4 frame then added and angled as needed, and braced it. Then covered, glued,it with masonite hard board, 3/16 thick. The back side is real ruff and the face is real slick. We use it sometimes for curved concrete forms. The concrete comes out real slick. Polished, hopefully I can pull a mold from it. Bob

Made a template of the engine compartment and just measuring and fitting. Made them out of 1/2 plywood and build stringers into them. Then took them and had a fiberglass shop wrap them. If i was to do it again i would have them smooth and clear the insides. Just easier to clean

The back if that boat would look killer with a raised hatch like an old school race boat. I was never a fan of a sunkin hatch.
