Yeah I can get you some pics next time I’m in the shop.
my setup may have changed a little bit as I just got the boat back last week from being repowered/ and re rigged. I’ve yet to really crawl around the bilge and check it all out, but they did comment on the fitment of the headers being difficult🤣🤣🤣.
New engines are gen 6, 540’s and because of the boat having the tighter 34” engine centerlines the clearance between the 2 inner headers did not allow for a cylinder head with raised exhaust ports.

If anyone is ever in this same boat as I am, these pics might help you.
Best route for me was to get the water rails and use the shortest "L" shaped hose I could get. I bought (8) 4"x6" hoses, and cut them down. So far it seems like it should work. We'll find out after everything is all installed. I still need to run my battery cables and install the batteries.

Well, it's been quite disappointing.
Stainless marine said I would need a Z pipe and I would have to get measurements I replied back with what do you need? And never heard back from Lettie again. Sent 2 more E mails over the course of a month trying to get a response. (not trying to be pushy, just didn't want to be forgot about) Nada...
Corsa was more helpful up to a certain point. Had to get engineering involved and they stopped replying. E mailed them when i tried Stainless and no reply until yesterday. Said the HP 500 had staggered heads and with E tops you just connect a hose. Busy with other projects, yada, yada, yada....
Teague was really responsive. Like next day response. Said would need to modify the tips and the pipes. Sounded really expensive.
So if anyone else has any suggestions, please pass it along. So far the only option seems to be the offset silicone coupler, and cut a larger hole in the transom. (more of a band-aid then a solution)

I found someone to make me some custom exhaust tips. (I will post up pics when they arrive)
As of right now, they are just 4" pipe with an offset. My question to anyone reading this, should I have a mounting flange welded on? https://www.cpperformance.com/p-1041...ng-flange.aspx
Or is it better to use the beauty ring and silicone seal? https://www.cpperformance.com/p-1370...x-4-12-id.aspx
I went from factory rubber engine mounts to solid billet engine mounts. Will there be more stress on the exhaust with a flange mount tip? Or will it shake worse being able to "free float" inside the beauty ring?
For anyone else in this position, there are wedges made to correct alignment issues such as this. https://www.cpperformance.com/c-396-...pe-wedges.aspx
I did not know those were readily available and was looking into making something myself when considering my options. The use of a wedge and say a 30* silicone coupler may be another option?
30* silicone elbow. https://www.anfittingsdirect.com/sil...licone-elbows/

you need some place that gives, either rings with seals or rubber hose between the tips and pipes. even with the solid mounts it moves way more than you think it will. the boat will twist and give some so if it is all solid it will break some thing sooner or later.

New exhaust tips showed up today. They just might work. A couple concerns though.
1. They are only 304 S.S.
2. The "pie cuts" on the inside create a seam where they meet. So there will be water sitting in those seams. Unless I can find something that will fill them in?
3. There are no flappers in these. I do however use Salisbury flaps. Should I install an aftermarket flapper where the tips meet the pipes? Or are the Salisbury good enough?

Does anyone know what the difference between the "rings and seals" and "rings and gaskets" is? "Gaskets" are a lot more $$$

I don't think you'll have any issues with the seems in fresh water, but maybe smear some version of JB Weld, just to be extra safe and make them last 30 years instead of 20.
I have never had any type of flappers and never any issues. I just make sure not to come off plane super fast.
Not sure what the diff is in the rings other than a 1/2", but Teague is a little cheaper Teague Custom Marine | Transom Exhaust Tail Seals and SS Ring Kits
