Brodix aluminum race rite rect port 294 volume with full roller valvetrain and Marine Kinetics cam. One motoer at 9.1:0 the other just under. I have mercruiser V6 modules on the way as well to run with these. let's say a total of 30-32* timing would yield around 20-22* base. The modules are 14* advance on a V6 but around 10* on a V8 and it all comes in a little sooner that the 2500rpm that it would on a V6. All this is from what I've read on here from other builds, I'll find all this out in due time.

My engines were dynoed and came out with 800hp. They went in a 38 fountain fever non stepped hull with #4s. A local guy to me had the same hull, same drives, with 750 supercats. Race boat that spent time at lake x being dialed in back in the day. My setup is identical except his hull was stripped race hull, mine full pleasure boat. You know what his boat ran at lake x? 90mph. You know what my boat runs on lake michigan? 90mph. Close enough for me.

Mike tkachs 1200hp engines. 588ci, Dart 355cnc heads, 8.3L Whipple's with intercoolers, why shouldn't they make 1200hp?

Icdedplls 540s? 893hp. Dart 345s , 10-71 stage 3 blowers , 8lbs of boost, any reason those shouldn't have made 893?

Nobody here at this camp is providing dyno sheets to impress or chest thump. Its simply to share combos and talk about them, or give others an idea of what kind of power certain combos are capable of. Our dyno shop we use isn't building our engines, and has zero interest in providing us with false numbers.

it looks to me like you should make good power with that combination,im sure you will try different timing settings on the dyno.i think you will like what you see at 34-35 total timing.keep us posted please because this build might suprise some people.edit in.the v6 modules are the way to go and will work great with this setup.

Joe, are you being completely honest that you have a 90mph boat? :-)

Hey Mike - issue is that the "best" gas i will be running is 91octane. That may limit the amount of timing i can have and stay safe.

Well I saw 89.9, but my GPS is conservative. My 89.9 would be equal to others readings of about 94mph. I've been trying to get the correction factors from the GPS satellite but haven't heard back. So it can be a total farce until I get that Info.

I've been considering selling my rectangle dart heads and getting some ovals, preferably with a mismatched intake. That should get me over the 90mph mark . I just don't know if my #4's can handle all that torque they would make . the acceleration would be insane. As of now when I mash the throttles my rectangle ports cause me to accelerate like a turtle that just smoked a blunt. . I may have been out accelerated by a sail boat or two, but I usually get them on the top end.

The engines I started with were 525 SC's.(454) All I did was freshen the engines and upgrade the cams/springs. I used the V6 modules and had a the timing set at 34 degrees total advance. They made 575 each. They were in a Cig Bullet. Man that was a fun boat.

Compression, chamber design, cam, and plug heat range will be more of a factor than total timing alone.

I will trailer as well but they only supply 91 around here. There may be some higher up by the speedway but that's completely out of my direction of travel.
