if the motor is locked up you can try freeing it by tapping on it with the handle of a screwdriver while someone else hits the up/down buttons....

I think the hammer idea is better than the screwdriver. there are 2 relays, chances of both bad are slim, probably motor or bad ground.

First check to see if a breaker popped. On my fountain if the breaker popped it would still click. Then its pretty easy to run a hot wire to it and see of the motor spins.

Check for coroded post or switch. Mine was clicking. Spayed with WD40, cleaned and tightened. Also spayed trim switch on throttle with WD40. Clicking problem gone!
