need to update XR Drives ??

And I forgot the very cool arneson drive- this to can withstand ridiculous power, and is THE most efficient drive.
the "Arneson principle" dictates the top half of the prop swing is a parasitic waste and eliminates it - with the props 3 to 9pm as the only part in the water- thereby reducing parasitic loss.
Downside- a giant exposed prop on a hydrauliclly actuated arm can kill towables, or skiing - the rooster tail is on par with a jet-o-vated equipped berkely on 5/8 UP - and can be considered dangerous for swimming etc. They make a guard for it, but it is what it is.

The Bravos are right at the surface to. Remember the propeller shaft is only 2-3" below the keel and thus the upper half of the propeller is out of the water.
We have a propeller guard that offers more protection than a Bravo or Speed Master does.
I have a few boats that ski behind them and it does not hinder them.

You guys are way out of my league for now. Any chance you want to sell the XR's to a struggling new and up comer? Please email me at [email protected] Thanks!

Yes, Max Machine is building the upper for me, but I am keeping the Imco shorties. I think my mechanic took the XR drives to Max in Lake Havasu and they should be back in 10-15 day's as the new uppers are ready. If you are interested let me know and we could make a deal

There is nothing wrong with the drives at all. Got them last summer, as i updated my bravo 1 to XR drives, when i updated the motors. But now i just purchased big motors and need to upgrade once again. We were going to upgrade the XR's, but decided to get all the new drives. I will let you know in about a week or so on what they are planning to do.

your not in the rooster, plus I found it to be better sking behind my bravo boat with a 120 or 150ft rope than a standard 75ft rope cleaner water and ocean racing uses 200 ft I think.
