Hey Jenks I also took out my headliner and it wasnt very easy. I am currently waiting for formula to find my material. By the way they are going to take pretty good care of me for a 95. But what I was wondering will it go back together easier than it came apart. Some of the tolerances were pretty tight. I f the new headliner is any thicker I am little worried about getting it back together. Let me know Mark

I am willing to bet if you contact Formula tech service and ask about the material you will need to repair this problem they can cut and prep all the pieces you will need. And yes we have replaced a sagging headliner with parts from the factory.
I know this is old but, there would be water stains in the cabin if a hatch was left open and the glue and foam should last 20yrs, chit Istored my boat at the marina one yr the cover caved infilled the cockpit with water that frozed in to a 4x2x3 block of ice ,water got in to the cabin and after 17yrs my head liner is still up now my boat is stored insde where it gets to 110 or so still fine formula screwed up thats it, just like my buds 38 f2 boat broken stringers

haah haa thank you, it should be reglued not replaced for 8sqft thats 72 bucks a yard what is he smoking, I am in the high end custom carpet and rug we make and wholesale custom wool and silk rugs that start at 12sqft retail 20 up to 150sqft, check with a local marine upholstery shop or carpet supplies shop for the glue wear a mask and do one area at a time let it set up for a day and do the next, you can die from the fumes. art ps I now its been a yr but if anyone needs help on carpet or liner PM ME ART

THEY MAKE CARPET you can call any flooring supply store to the trade, they should have a few brands there.

I have a small patch about 12" square that sags about 1/4" in my 2000 382. I have not yet decided what to do about it. Daryl told me last month that he suspects that the backing foam itself is deteriorating. Has anyone checked with their local auto upholstery shops to see if there is a technique that the pros use for something like this?
