Yup. The survey was for the hull only. I had him look inside the engine compartment for me to get the numbers off the block and look for any major problems. Keep in mind i went and saw the boat and drove it myself before the purchase. I did not even see all of this and i looked right at it.

Sorry to hear this. I thought it did not sound good when the seller wouldn't let you push the sticks to full throttle. I'd be f'n pissed.
Good luck getting her back together. Look around for some used heads and get them rebuilt w/ good valves - springs.

used rebuilts just give casting numbers, got a set earlier this season. good quality easy to deal with

Looks like they must have been salt water motors. That is the only thing that could get them to look like that. Ussually if they are fresh water they stay looking new for ever... This stinks that you are going through this but at leaste when you are done you will know EXACTLY what you have.
