heater63,

I've heard about the program since it started, and you guys do deserve credit for the hours and effort. Not to mention the money you've put into this deal as well. I'm not trying to take that away from anyone here, just busting his balls about it. If you're taking it any other way, then I'm sorry, but it is what we do here, not ment to hurt anyone, speaking for myself here. And more often than not I'm the one whose balls they're busting on.

I might just take you up on the offer at some point, the Havasu dates won't work for me, but thanks for offering. I'm sure it would be worth experiencing.

I am still working for Mark some, bottom washer is not really my position there, but I'm not above it in a pinch. Owning and maintaining property over the last 25 years I've done alot of cleaning and chit work. Never made much money cleaning boats, but you might be supprised what cleaning toilets can do for the bottom line. Covered the checks for two Fountains in three years. Things are just fine down here in the trailer park. :D

Glad you guys all took it so well.Wasnt sure if I was pushing it a little too far.You guys are all too funny!OK ripper throw it back at me now.Seriously now! Anyone who would like to join us at any of the races, we would certainly welcome the help.It really is alot of work going to a race.More than I ever expected.I will do what I can to help cover expenses.Especiallly for havasu!

This kind of sucking up all you'll need is to wipe your chin off at the end..............

heater63 04-15-2008 12:36 PM

Something else I've learned about racing boats is nobody gets paid for nothing. And you certainly wont make any money at it even if you win every race. Its all about having a great time and helping each other out and the ever sought after adrenaline rush that we all crave as power boaters (hence, the team name)

Well that's a revelation. Your partner Axa told me that there was $50K worth of prize money on the table down in Biloxi. With $50K and only 22 boats seems like you guys should all be getting rich at this. But then what the chit do I know.

heater63 04-15-2008 10:42 PM

If your doing it for the money its considered a job. Were in it for the fun and excitement.OK the bikinis too!

axapowell 04-20-2008 08:16 AM

Who splashed this weekend?

Was it Ragged who claimed He'd be in first?

Was it 5PM who has the boat out of storage and cleaned?

Did Rip get the early spring fever and dunk it?

Or was it the diehard Thirdbird who is spontaneous and will launch in 32* weather?

Let it begin boys....As for me, well, #2 is progressing nicely and when I get back from vacation...Let the rigging and testing begin!

Dave

BTW: My bets are on Thirdbird. Ragged has at least 10 more coats of wax to apply first!

ThirdBird 04-20-2008 09:46 AM

Yup the ThirdBird was in yesterday. Ran like a top. Sandy Pond and the Big Lake were perfect. Hardly a ripple. Didn't even need jackets.

Pachanga Mike was with me and our two daughters. We'll have the photo-evidence up soon.:cool-smiley-011:

And can we get a spring report on the channel for the purple crew????

Pachanga Mike??? Where is his big bad boat??? Is it staying or is it going??Read something about a new bike??

5PMSMWHR 04-20-2008 07:00 PM

5PMSMWHR 04-20-2008 07:03 PM

On Pachange Mike's camera.

P-Mike is doing some touch-up work on his boat. No Harly unless someone drops his asking price in his lap. Then, he can go roast on the asphalt while we chill on the water.

That's right, free booze with any purchase this afternoon at West Marine on Brewerton Road. :D

You use up all that Collonite yet? You should have enough left to give Birds a coat when you're done with yours.

We were attending a combo birthday and family party, Samanthas grandmothers 93rd. We were in Ontario County, does that count? Stopped by Sutters, just to get a fix, and looked at some baby Fountains. Were it not for the party deal the black biotch would have been wet this weekend. Probably fire them up on the hose sometime in the next couple days, then if the weather is ok this comming saturday it is going in for the first prop test session. My prop "Guy" needs more data.

On a side note, Sams Monte SS did put a whoop a$$ on a real sharp orange Plymouth 340 Duster on saturday afternoon. I think he said he was Axas "Mopar Guy", so I just had to put him down. I think I ruined his day.

5PMSMWHR 04-20-2008 08:33 PM

took the convertible to skaneatles today for lunch and all the harley dudes were at Morris' tavern. What the attraction is of wearing leather in 80 plus degree weather is is beyond me....

I believe the attraction is keeping some skin on your arse if you kiss the pavement, plus the bugs wipe right off.

What's this 1st of June launch chit?

Well, when you get Pachanga Mike's kid and my kid together, it does get pretty "uncensored". Shoulda heard the conversation we all had on the porch the other night. They're a blast together.

The sand bar at Sodus attracts quite a crowd too. But, the Coasties stand right there on dock and watch everything.

I'm outtta Here for a week!! The Bird gets first priority when I get back...Should be able to check OSO from Mexico!

In less than 12 hours, I'll be on the beach sipping a Corona!
