More or less, might fire them up on the hose this weekend, other than that just a hull side wax job and she's good to go. You planing on the Bay for Memorial Day weekend?

ext2gtx 05-16-2009 07:16 AM

Dave, you have to stop lifting all that money you have at one time, smaller bags work better ordid you try installing your motor with out a hoist.:lolhit: p.s. hope your back feels better

As of right now I am ..... I have had quite an interesting spring! All I need to do is put the new battery trays and batteries in and change out my old battery charger for the new one.

As I stated earlier, I won't be able to get up there until saturday night at the absolutely earliest. The good news is that I don't need to get back to work until wednesday.

I should be on track if all goes well this tuesday. I have a "guy" who is going to help me install the new charger.

Dave

Take your time Dave, you have all summer ..... it isn't worth hurting yourself further.

Besides Fountain Boy will be licking his chops to take another run at you and the apparent "King of the River" Hot Stepper.

Is that new blower going to fit under there?

:poopoo:

I didn't mean to throw that out there ....

understood, did you have a problem or you just doing some prevenative maintenance.

axapowell 05-16-2009 01:43 PM

Man you guys are BRUTAL!!

Mike, yes the bags are heavy...not it!

Jeff, The Carbs on the blowers seem to clear Ok...not it!

Bird, Mexican Riveria...only thing I lifted there were drinks...not it!

As for having a "Guy" for everything, Yes I do have "Guys and Gals" that get me what I need and want, but I'm still the ONLY "Guy" who installs the things my "Guys and Gals" get for me! As for the back, well you all know how hard I work to keep my body that Adonis like creature that I am... I did it working out on Thursday. Pulled something pretty good. It really put a stop to my progress. I hope to keep pluging and try to get to the boat done by the Memorial Day. I'll keep you all posted!

How's the Debs Bob??? I'm looking forward to some cold nights on the boat.

Your motors look a little light man! Some vital parts are missing. We've all been there. Just another cost of boating. Hope it all comes together nicely.

I'm sure you know this, but, pay particular attention to the intake-to-head/block joint. It's a sure-fire leaker if you don't do it right. I milked a cam because of that!!!! Frig the goofy little rubber gasket they give you. RTV it, let it set up a bit, then bolt 'er down.

looks like everyone is at home if my count is right it was like 6 or 7 new posts today. All the boats are nice and dry. Dave by the way after a certain age your should check with the Doc before going into a vigorous excersing routine:drink: I checked with mine and he said limit the lifting to 12 ounces :drink: And yes I'm still King of the River!:evilb: hey and the evil little guy matches my boat

Hot Stepper 05-16-2009 07:59 PM

Hey Pete how many times have you hooked that thing up to the hose now? I think I saw 8 posts in regards. Oh I figured it out you're trying to get rid of the old gas in prep for the big run:drink:

Zero! Decided to do a little paint touch up on the drives today instead. I'm sure they will run when they need to, old gas and all.

This thread has seen more action in the last couple of days then it has all year so far.
Looks like everyone has come out of hibernation.

Have any of you guys heard of any changes with regards to going to Canada by boat..... sounds like it is going to be a big pain in the azz this summer.

Passport , I-68 , Nexus , fingerprint, breast dimensions, etc.

What do really need other then a credit card? Anyone know?

I have been reading on some of the other threads and it is all speculation .....

Jeff

Not a Fountain, no beak! Has that hard to miss stub nosed Formula profile. Appears to be powered by Subway, I bet your "Motor Guy" was named was Tiny.

I was thinking you and Stepper should man up and have at it. Throw in a few Sea Rays and you would have a real Offshore Challenge. :lolhit:

This year I have a goal to stay upright and out of all boat lifts when not drinking.....But the crutches will be in the back of the truck just in case the hip has a flare up.... Yes I do still have them:drink:

If you were a little fella like myself you could have slid right in there and changed it out without all the extra work.

Did you figure you could reach down thru one of the sixteen holes and reach it?

Hot Stepper 05-17-2009 06:13 PM

King of the river shoot out 2 different weeks this year first one will be June 27th thru July 4th, second chance at the crown Aug 8th thru the 15th. Any takers bringem on:nhl_fight:, same rules as last year. As with last year we should plan on an exclusive guided tour to places unkown, followed by stops at the normal locations. Maybe I can talk Allen into going and he can guide us down the inside (southern route) back from singers.

I think you're on drugs! You and Twins! Lots of talk from a pair of 60 mph racers.

How much are the tickets? I want to watch the great spectacle. Better yet can I be the Pace Boat? If I promise not to start both engines.

You forgot to read the fine print: same rules as last year:drink: Although the ticket thing could make us a buck or two - might even make a good donation to a local A-bay youth group. what should we charge $ by the boat, $ by the person
