242ls Rubstrip replacement

jrocket,
After you remove the old rubrail make sure you
tighten all the screws that holds your top deck to
your hull. You probably know this already that your
boatis made in 2 pieces, then screwed together. As
your boat gets older the screws tend to loosenan
causes flexing or movement in the 2 halfes. Tightening
these screws will reduce or stop that flexing, but you
probably knew that to.

Or if you REALLY want to go nuts take out all the screws, remove the rubrail, clean out btwn the two hull halfs and use 5200 btwn then through bolt everything back together. You will be AMAZED at how much more solid the boat feels. TACO DEFINATLY makes the insert for that boat however I am not sure if they make it in white, I think only black. I do wish that when I did mine that I used the rub rail similiar to the Fast Tech boats. They are a solid color and last time I talked to them about price it was not to outrageous.
