You're right, the 4 year older boat with carb 500's is a better deal at near the same asking price because of what you listed lol.

Craziness on here lately

It's all unknown is my point. Unknown engines and that is where a huge chunk of $$ lays on these boats. I'm so glad you have an expert (and informed) opinion on used Formulas! LOL. Have a great weekend!

Your comments never cease to amaze me. Guess because I am not a formula owner I know nothing about the used boat market. Just because those 16 year old carb500s are blue means there are no surprises right?

The 1998 boat is overpriced, period

Would it be OK to ask what you think is a fair price for that 98?
There are better buys available for 70K IMHO.

I have no idea. Condition, engine / drive hours, maintenance history, owner history, damage history, and how it was driven?

I am not looking for a 382, so I won't spend the time speculating.

My point is that if the boat is in excellent condition compared to one newer, isn't it worth more? If it has been cared for properly and well maintained, isn't it worth more? Do upgrades count? Depending on what has been done, the answer is both yes and no.

Each boat, in my opinion, should be valued INDIVIDUALLY. I have not, and do not plan to inspect this boat, therefore I am not qualified to price it or comment on if it is overpriced.

I believe that is the point others are trying to make in this post.

Dave
