Re: Post pictures of your formula!!!
Did HBW get all the crap off your dock? There was a bunch of stuff there when I put in. Still a dockbox or two on your dock till they moved the rest of the stuff. We are going up tomorrow late afternoon. Call me if you need a weather report from the bay. See you soon.

Axa,
yea, it's all sorted out. I put B&N's dockbox and fridge on their spot with Bob's help. There has got to be a dead body or two in that box!! I plugged their fridge in but then thought when I got home I didn't check the breaker!! Dammitt !! Rinsed all the dirt and wood out from between the boards on thier dock. Spiders love all that trapped dirt and crap to roost in! Koes box next door. Swept and rinsed that carpet, and down their dock/carpet on the other side (birdsh!t). ... ...I was cleaning on our end. ;) and took out 3 pigeons and a couple Blackbirds. Got a pellet in the hen of that nest on your side...but she flew away...maybe she bled out somewhere. That'll do the chicks in. I can't stand them things. |

Re: Post pictures of your formula!!!
Mrs. AXA spent about 4 hours cleaning the entrance and sweeping the docks on Friday last week getting it purdy for the weekend crowd. I think we are going to replace the carpets around the slip this year with the help of PB (Ragged) when he gets a chance. I think it's time. Going to pick up some small eyelets tomorrow for new fender rope holders around the finger pilings. That should do it for now. See ya.

Thanks offthefront,
She is in pretty good shape, just redid the whole exhaust with EMi and new Bravo's on the back, just to keep her fresh. Have six hours on the new drives, waiting for the breakin to complete, so I can see what she'll do. |

offthefront,
Thank you! The boat has BRAND NEW interior through out the inside. Through formula, the boat was shipped to McLeod to have the cockpit and cabin reupholstered. The cabin has been done with ultra leather and all the black Plexiglas has been replaced by white. This boat still has the black dash, but has been updated with gaffric shifter, throttles and gauges. The engines where rebuilt in 2003 / 440 HP and over 600 ft/lbs torque. I am going through the boat before I use it to tighten the screws, deep clean and fix anything the previous owner missed. |

Chris, top-notch looking Formula! I'm looking at buying a 336 with the black dash. My question to you is, did you check into seeing if the dash can be painted white? If so how much would it cost? Also, any complications? Obviously gauges would need to be replaced. I was wondering if bezels would be a problem. Thanks Chris |

Re: Post pictures of your formula!!!
Chuck,
So the deal clsoe on the sale of your 242? There might be a nice 292 with twin 454's going on the market in Middle River, not really sure. Also another guy has a 272 with twins, and he isn't even putting it in this year, running a little center consloe instead. Let me know where your at with your deal. |

I was near the Middle River last weekend looking at a 272 with new motors. It was at Sunset Harbor marina. The boat had new power but the paint job and other repairs scared me off. Let me know if either of the boats you mentioned are on the market. Ideally I'd like to find a boat that includes a trailer....and doesn't need motors/drives or a whole lot of work...I'd like to turn the key and go. July 4th is right around the corner which means summer is almost 1/2 over. But I'm going to hold out for a nice one. |
Re: Post pictures of your formula!!!
Chuck,
this is actually Rambunctious logged on waterfoul's account. I can't seem to post with my "free" logon. anyway. I am ready to sell my 1988 272 with twin 330hp 454's and bravos. It has 470 original hours and the entire boat is original except some white vinyl ( sent by formula) on the sunpad. includes a like new manning triple axle trailer. boat is in excellent condition and turn key. (I'm an anal engineer...is that redundant ??) if you go back in this thread, you should find my video I made. send a email to me if any interest. robert dot hamelink at jci.com Reason for sale ( there is only one) looking for bigger formula. Rambunctious Rob |
Re: Post pictures of your formula!!!
the entire boat is original except some white vinyl ( sent by formula) on the sunpad. I rebuilt the common problematic front surface of the silent thunder swim platform(marine professional replacement of marine plywood) and I modified the silent thunder exhaust with hose to carry the exhaust striaght through to the square tips. ( all this has been posted and discussed on the board) other than that.... stock..... Ramb |
Re: Post pictures of your formula!!!
Rob,
I'll send you an email...I remember seeing the video and reading about the modifications/repairs to the silent thunder platform. Michigan is 700 miles from Maryland? |
Re: Post pictures of your formula!!!
Chuck.....didn't you ask me to get more info on the 88(?) 272 with 10 hr small blocks that is for sale near me. I can't find the guys info but if your interested I'll track him down. (red/black, supposed to be very good condition on a trailer, probably around $26-27K)

Re: Post pictures of your formula!!!
Ramb, that`s a beautiful boat I loved the video and what you did with the exhaust, that`s what started my platform project and it came out great nice sound :D
Good luck with the sale mark |
Re: Post pictures of your formula!!!
sleek1,
Thank you! I just bought this boat. I am going to have the dash painted white. This boat already has the upgraded bezels and gauges, so I just need the dash painted and I am looking for some trick dash pannels (maybe carbon fiber). offthefront, I just got back from vacation with my wife and daughter, I believe the helm was the factory tilt. The photo makes the tilt look exteme . In this photo the wheel is tilted all the way up. Chris |
