Exactly. I used a pressure washer with a sand attachment to blow most of it off. I'm hitting the places that was under the bunks on the other trailer.

It's not covered room, but we have room in front of the house. You are more than welcome, but it looks like Charley may come right over us.

Well as of yesterday afternoon, Charlie was going to come ashore around Ft. Myers, good news for us. Now they are saying coming ashore just north of Tampa, which is bad for us. Storm surge. AND they are saying it could become a category 3 storm. This is gonna suck real real bad.

Cuda: call me on Saturday and see if I'm still here. Thanks....I've officially gone from nervous to slightly scared.

Cuda , Take It For What It's Worth , Because I Know You Are Very Mechanical , but I Have An Idea That Might Help You ? ! ? When I Bought My Boat It Had Bottom Paint, Or Should I Say About 75 Percent Of The Bottom Still Had Paint On It , What Worked The Best For Me Was Stripping Off The Bottom Paint With A High Pressure Washer With Heat . I Had The Setting Turned Up To Steam ( The Highest It Could Be Turned Up Too ) And The Sharpest Nozzle You Could Use On It. Once The Bottom Paint Was Heated It Came Off Pretty Easily . I Tried A Pressure Washer With No Heat And It Did Nothing . I Was Not Sure If The Washer You Used Had A Diesel Burner On It ? The Small Areas That Did Not Come Off , I Used A Paint Remover I Bought From Home Depot And Let It Sit On The Paint For About 10 Minutes Then Hit It With The Washer Again . That Stubborn **** Came Off Then ! Once All Major Paint Was Off I Lightly Wet Sanded The Lower Part Of The Hull With 600 Grit Wet Sandpaper , And Polished With 3m Super Duty Rubbing Compound . Many People Have Looked At What I Did , And They Didn't Believe This Boat Ever Had Bottom Paint On It , Honestly though It Did Take Me 5 Days To Do It Completely From Start To Finish . The Stripper I Bought From Home Depot Was For Wood , And Did Not Swell Or Distort The Gel Coat In Any Way . Even When Looked At In Direct Sunlight . Wet Sanding It Removed All The Stains In The Gel coat Then Polishing It Made It Smooth And Shiny . When I Seen The Da In Your Hand And The Respirator , I Had Flashbacks ! The Wet Sanding Seemed To Work Better For Me And It Was Easier To Control And Be Able To See What Was Done And What Needed To Be Hit Up A Little More Before Being Polished . ALSO THE DUST FALLING IN MY EYES WAS ENOUGH TO MAKE ME NUTS !
