The SCX only comes in a -2 configuration...im pretty sure. The fact that his hull is a 97 would probably explain at least 5mph. We also had our hull blueprinted by FPM and had our lowers blueprinted by Wilson Perf. Im not sure how much speed that actually added, but just FYI.

I would think that maybe switching to a Cleaver style prop and the #6 shafts might help. However, that all depends on his X-Dim. If his drives are as deep as most 97's then I doubt Cleavers will help him at all. Keep in mind we had our X Dim raised over 4".

Just talked to Eddie. Going to pick boat up tomorrow. Water pressure is good now, and temps seem to be stable on both oil and water. Ill let Eddie comment on the specifics/details.

I been asking him for a while to get me a actual measurement of where his prop shafts are relative to the bottom.

He now has SCX upper, standard SC lower. He had 3'' shorty lowers before, with 1.5 ratio. Hes thinking of going back to that setup. Sorry to hijack.....

Negative, the first few 9 trips or so with this fountain debacle was kinda cool, exciting, fun. Then we added my boat to the mix. Then the last 9 trips back and forth, which included, running over deer, blood all over boat, wires showing on trailer tires, changing of trailer tires while a crazy druggie guy looked over our shoulders and only spoke the frases "son of a gun" and "how boat that" with an occasional motion of what I would call " playing a harmonica without a harmonica" because he was so fukked up on drugs, Reggie Sr. telling me to not jump out of a boat at 100mph because it will hurt, Reggie Sr. ordering me spaghetti bolognese with a fukton of meat sauce, a cat named shelby at FPM, a guy that works on scooters next door to FPM, Wyatt not ordering me #6 drives when I up front told him I will not pay for them, massive fruit trays at a continental breakfast, Eddie telling me that my injectors are "tubs of Fuk", some guy with a fast hustler, making fun of people at a launch ramp because they are retarded dumb, 2 secs later, trying to launch my boat with eddies truck and my batteries are dead, pull another truck up on the boat launch to jump start, watch that truck roll into water because e-brake doesn't work and driver (me) left it in gear, while 25 crappie fisherman watch and laugh, 25 crappie fisherman stop laughing because i shoot them all, pull my boat into my driveway front first because subdivision keeps whining that it is in the street, driveway is steep, drill hole in driveway with hammer drill and attach redhead concrete anchor and strap down nose of trailer to avoid lift off, neighbors asking if it has 454's, 505's color changing drives that look like OMC stringer drives now, the cat lady next door to Eddies shop, the gay 12' faded baby blue boat with a "horn" on it next to eddies shop that my wife would rather have than the fountain, 505 having to pay for my dinner, hotel because I lost my debit card and nobody would accept payment from me with a hand written post-it note with my c/c numbers on it, test driving a boat in 40 degree weather, losing one motor in a 25mph side wind, then while docking at 15mph lose the other motor, yell fuk, watch friend on bow (505) act like he is going to stop momentum of a 12k lb boat @ 15mph but instead gets his balls wrapped up on the front cleat, then realizes 42' fountain is 12' up over the walkway of dock, speak no words to each other for 2.5 hours home,...the list goes on. He gets his jollies off watching his friends make stupid investments, then talks them into mods when they can't afford it, then keeps talking them into more mods, which in turn causes the friend to hide invoices from their wife, which in turn....he laughs at.

Thanks Triple. I needed some comic relief. Trust me. We have all had problems blowing motors , friends ramming docks with "your" boat, prop shafts breaking, running prop thru rocks and sand etc. I feel for you guys. Been there done that. Hang in there boys!!
