Well....I think Eddies post pretty much sums things up. It is a very good summary of what is/has gone down. The bottom line is this. I have a 42' Ftn with 1100hp engines, a blueprinted hull and a custom setup done by FPM. These boats all day, every day run 130+ with 1075's and #6's. I understand that we are losing speed with the SCX's. However, I am not going to spend the money that me and my brother have spent on this boat to have it run 115mph. This is the whole premise of why we are doing what we are doing with the drives/spacers. If I can gain another MPH or two by removing spacers then that is what I am going to do. If the pressure and temps come up as a result of that, then they will be addressed...just like they are currently being addressed. As Eddie said, YPM is half the distance from me as FPM. And, they are HIS engines, who would know better than him on what they need? The groundwork was laid by FPM...now I have chose Eddie to do the fine tuning.
I have tried as hard as I can to be as honest and forthcoming throughout this entire thread, and I would like to think that this approach has been a big part as to the number of views. There are certain things I have asked Eddie not to post, and I myself have kept my mouth shut on numerous issues. I can assure everyone that is reading this that only the pertinent issues are being posted.
I think everyone who has followed this build (for the most part) has both had some laughs, and learned a few things along the way. If you dont like how things are progressing, or the amount of information that is disseminated then dont read it. Otherwise, stay tuned for more on the ongoining Soap Opera build...lol.

If it makes you feel any better, my buddy has a 42 stagger fountain. Engines dynoed at 1300hp. So far, best he's seen is 110 so far. He's running scx drives , 1" shorty.
Not to get off topic, but is there a advantage to having a #6 shaft installed in the scx?
