Here are a few updated pics. We ran into a few obsticles. The lower blower pulley needed to be cut down quite a bit since it was originally made to work with a 525. New pulleys are quite expensive, so we made these work. They used to attach with only 3 bolts to the balancer. Now, they are on a different bolt circle and have 6 bolts attaching them. No chance of them breaking now.

The next issue was the crank trigger mount. I went with a little less expensive serpentine setup. However, it didn't have a place to mount the crank trigger like the higher end one has. THat's was an huge oversight on my part. Because of that, I spent the last 1 1/2 days trying to figure out what to do and then do it. I needed to make a bracket that not only was strong enough to hold the crank trigger but not stick out like a turd in a punch bowl. After a few different designs, I finally came up with something that accomplishes both things. I still need to powdercoat them, but I can do that tomorrow. Once powdercoated, you won't even know they are there. I also had to make a new holder for the crank trigger. My usual one wouldn't work with this brakcet.
First pic is the original one that we use. The other pics are the ones that we made to fit these engines. Everything is still rough cut in these pics. I didn't take any of them all sanded and ready to coating. |

One more shot of it from the back. I will post a few more pics of them all finished up once I powdercoat them.

Here are a few with most of the serpentine system installed, at least temporarily.

Had to cut 1/4" out of the accessory pulley to compensate for the crank trigger wheel so the pulley alignment stay true.

Here are some shots with the crank trigger powder coated and installed. The serpentine system is permanently installed. All it's lacking is the sea pump, which I will have tomorrow. THey are starting to come together. They sure look different than they did.:evilb:
Enjoy. Eddie |
400% might be an understatement

You and me both!!! Engines are set up to dyno on Monday of next week and ship out to FPM by Thursday. That will give FPM a few days to install motors and Eddie will then fly out to tune. We are tentatively set up to fly out to FPM on 23rd.

I'm taking your engines, thanks. When I dropped my boat at Eddies, I got to see Eric's engines in person, they look awesome!! They almost freaking glow!! Some bilge mounted LED's will make them really pop! |
